No disrespect to the new male dancers but why move along the likes of popular dancers like Matthew and Ian just for the sake of it ?? Matthew and Ian are not exactly past it and were/are very popular......of course everything has to move on and evolve but out with the "old" and in with the "new" for no good reason is mystifying.

I saw Brendan Cole in January and he was amazing...

As much as Matthew will of course be missed this year I definitely feel we should give these new boys a chance to impress us. They're new to the show and are, I'm sure, eager to please, so, I am all too happy to let them, lol.

I look forward to seeing all the Pro's in action, old and new.

Yes, I'll give these new boys a chance, but they shouldn't have got rid of three former champions of Striclty and Ian, I would to have seen him becoming a champion of Strictly. And I am not saying that they should have got rid of anyone else.

been to see Brendan Cole, Anton & Erin, Strictly live tour, the proffesionals and Darren & Lilia and theyy were all amazin ... bestt yearr ive ever had ! :D

I want to thank SCD for bring the Pro Tour to Dublin, It was excellent, It was the best weekend every. :) Hope ye wll have one next year and if ye are coming bring the live tour over to Dublinto us ,Irish Fans

I am very dissapointed that Mathew, Ian, Darren and Lilia are not in the show this year. Why fix things that aren't broken? I wish the new guys well but I dont welcome the changes.

Really looking forward to the new seies of Strictly Come Dancing but dissapointed that Brian is not dancing this year. He was a fantastic addition to the show and will be greatly missed.

It seems to me that the BBC are moving away from using successful competitive dancers as pros and towards using pros who are more geared towards a more "show dance" style of pro. I think it says a lot about the BBC's view of how the show should move - much more towards the American showy style and less classically technical as we've seen on Strictly in the early days. I'm sure some will feel that is a good thing - personally I can't say High School Musical exactly does it for me!!

Mandyxxx, I agree with you, the BBC should remeber that they are the ones that thought of Strictly, the rest of the world followed them.

I saw bits of Dancing with the Stars (america), I couldn't watch the whole series of it. I find that the Pros on Strictly were far better than the ones on DWTS, How will I put it, the technical side of the ballroom and latin dances are far better on Strictly than DWTS.



The judges scores easier on the couples in DWTS than Strictly.

i am willing to give these new pros a chance ,and hope they are popular with the fans

I shall miss Matthew, Brian, Ian and Lilia. They will be a hard act to follow. Will be reserving my judgement about the 3 new men, but if they turn Strictly into Dancing with the Stars which is what I fear - it will be a retrograde step for Strictly. I am completely baffled as to why Matt was dropped, the best Latin dancer for me, whilst one pro who can't dance latin and made a dodgy remark about a celeb is kept on.

Hard to get excited with no Brian.



And I can't understand why you would want to lose Matthew but keep Anton.

SalsaMouse, Ian, MAtthew, Darren ,Brian and lilia were offer to do a group dance. But Brian quit the show, Ian and Darren are doing the group dance which involves 4 new dancers, Matthew and Lilia didn't take up the offer doing the group dance, sad to say.

Losing Lilia is not good. For me, she was the best dancer of all.

Nope, none of this lot are a replacement for Matthew Cutler.



So they've got a High School Musical dancer....this is NOT(exciting). I'm afraid I couldn't watch "So You Think You Can Dance", I gave up after the first couple of eps, same with DWTS.

I am sorry that some of the pros have left,but will be interested to see how the new men perform with the celebrities.But it is a shame that after losing out on competing in the final last year,Brian never got another chance to do so.As to Anton,he has been with SCD since it started but never been in a final yet so maybe the powers that be want him to have the chance.....?

Lets give the new professionals a chance its not there fault the others got axed and the show needed new dancers to take the show to the next level.

Having watched some of Dancing with the Stars, I REALLY hope that Strictly doesn't go down the "show" route with the dances. I love seeing the technical aspects of ballroom and latin and frankly get annoyed when it gets too showy (other than in the final show dance, of course). Let's keep it as pure as possible. Welcome to the new guys, I hope that they live up to the standards that I expect of Strictly. I'll miss Matthew, Lilya, Ian and Darren, though!

Where are the forums? Even Claudia Winkleman used them when she interviewed the couples. They were part of the whole Strictly experience!

I really think it's a big mistake not having them.

Such a shame we have lost my 2 fave men Matt and Brian, but im sure watching Artem will ease the pain! lol!

OK, im a massive Brian fan and cried when he was booted. But, Jared does do it for me. Heard him talk and fell in love, plus i reckon he will bring in the younger audience ie teens like me.

BUT HE CAN NEVER REPLACE MR FORTUNA :)
