More group dances from our professionals

I think this years show is make or break for strictly. Certainly axing the most popular ones didn't work and I have to say I am getting less and less excited.

The decision to axe some of the most popular professionals was bizarre.

Is Matthew Cutler going to be appearing in the launch show ?? or any of the pro dances this year ??.



Can only agree that not pairing some of the most popular pros with a celeb this year is at best a bizarre decision and at worse a foolhardy one.

I agree, the decisions made have been quite ... odd.



Still, cant knock it til you've tried it, so will still watch and see what the new format has to offer,

More dances = a good thing in my book!

One of the main highlights of Strictly for me is definitly seeing the Pro's in action with each other (even though I of course like them dancing with the celebs too) :)

I agree with Post 6 - the pro dancers spot is a major highlight of SCD and I look forward to seeing more, many more 8-)

I agree with TashaLouise-Kv-x. I think the loss of Matthew, Lilia and Ian will cloud the show for me this year. However we have to realise that the choices made for Strictly are purely made to please the people in charge, not the viewers. After all in every press release they keep telling us how excited they are about the changes. I've never felt less excited about a series of Strictly since the show started, as I believe they are going to turn it into Dancing with the Stars.

More Pro-dances probably is an audience led idea. I certain remember seeing lots of reaction to them on threads in the past and read many comments saying how for some they were the best part of the show. Also some people were calling for a higher standard of dance in the show, not wanting to suffer seeing so many out of condition celebrities dancing (I wasn't one of them I may add). So having a professional troupe definitely seems to originate, for audience comments as far as I can see.

The Pro-dancers were/are just as popular as the celebs!

just watching the launch show-the pairing is sooooooo predictable

I am absolutely gutted that Matthew Cutler is not dancing in this series. For me he was the highlight of the professional dancers, and a complete home grown talent. I am very disappointed that he will not be appearing in this series.

PLEASE BBC bring out a DVD with all the pro dances on. It's the highlight of every show. The Two Tribes from the launch show was partuicularly amazing.

Why haven't you included biographies and pictures of the new members of the professional dance troupe in your dancers section?

What chance will we have to get to know them?

I will miss Matt, Lilia and Brian just like I missed Karen last year but I am sure that the new dancers will bring something fresh to the show. I for one am really excited about more pro dances in this series, bring it on.
