Well that was quite a moment. We knew that doing some more on the space station would be a fine idea, loads of listeners get in touch when it passes over. We knew that doing a tweet to Major Tim would be fun idea. But we never expected to get tweeted back and certainly not with an accompanying video of the ISS passing over the UK. If you grew up in an era when space communication was only with Houston and there was a loud beep every few seconds, this (and the live chat on Breakfast) are modern miracles indeed. I had assumed he wouldn’t have time to contact us but now I (rather unfairly) have a new image of Major Tim as a classic teen, staring out of the window and checking his phone…
Foodie Thursday with Nige offering Beijing Bolognese for your hungry drive home. Meantime we are picking BELLRINGING oldies. This is because there are calls to reclassify bellringing as a sport. The in-house mag here is of course Ringing World and they are suggesting that as campanology is more strenuous than shooting or angling, it is time to shake things up bit. So bellringing it is!
