There I was all poised and ready to dash out for a breakfast meeting full of croissants and meaningful chat, when plans changed, apologies issued. So, as Meatloaf shared, I’m all revved up with no place to go. I’ll have to have witty banter with the family and they have no interest in that kind of thing. And it’s a long time till 5pm.

Oh this is silly, just eat toast and get on with it. The ARF is waiting in the winds and needs to be noticed. Opening year of requirement is 1978! Now you’re talking…Naomi James becomes the first woman to sail around the world single handed, Evita opens in the West End and May Day becomes a bank holiday for the first time (and rains every year). In the cinema it’s Watership Down (thanks Art), The Last Waltz ( way to go Bob) and Midnight Express (take a bow Georgio Moroder). But what songs work for the radio on a Friday prevening?
