4 day week? Well for some. Actually I love the bank holiday specials. We should have more! Lets play 'Keep On Rocking In The Freeworld' every day! Or most days! Or just a bit more than we do! Anyway, enjoyed it yesterday and back to the routine today. Hope bloggers had a fine bank holiday and are rested for the challenges ahead (writing nonsense already).

It's book club time today with Karen Perry's The Boy That Never Was. Harry and Robin's 3 year old son dies or disappears in an earthquake but then Harry thinks he sees him in the middle of a demonstration in Dublin. And everything changes from there. It's a gripping tale and written by two people! Karen Perry is Karen Gillece and Paul Perry, both well established writers themselves. Quite how that works out we will find out after 6. Read a chapter here and see what you think.

And Eric Idle is on today! Live from California where he has been tweeting like crazy and thinking he's going to be on Radio 4. But it must be easy to lose track of reality in California. He will introduce the first play of the new Monty Python song-which I haven't heard yet. Eric is usually the Python to handle the songs and it wasEric who came in to Radio 1 after we started playing the Always Look On The Bright Side of Life a few years back. So who knows who might be offended by todays song...

And how about ROBOT oldies please. NEW series Almost Human on TV tonight where, in 2048, every police officer needs an android with them. And apparently a third of Britain's fear that they'll lose their jobs to a robot (although 17% say they'd er, have a relationship with one) so ROBOTS it is then.

5pm then?
