There is a jingle somewhere in the BBC that I would like to find. It was recorded by Blur circa 1993 and is a waltz style affair with Damon singing 'Simon Mayo in the morning is no longer yawning. La la la la la la 1FM'. I might be short of a 'la' there but you get the picture. There was another Blur jingle too but it's the waltz one that I get asked about still. I don't have a copy and the engineers who recorded the session don't either. Ho hum. Anyway the reason for all this is Damon's appearance on the show today and his new 'Everyday Robots' album. He is a most beguiling guest who will keep any host on his/her wits as you never know which Damon you'll get or which direction the conversation will head in. But he is indisputably a GOOD THING and so he's very welcome.

And how about REVERSING THE AGEING PROCESS songs? There is new process which uses transfusions of young blood to counter the ageing process. In mice. But hey, this thing is being talked about as a proper scientific trial and only waiting for some oldies to announce its arrival and make it the real deal. So stretch that skin, suck in those cheeks and off we go.
