Peace, love and harmony

Well the intention was to rest the voice and talk to no one about anything. This of course was a stupid plan so it didn’t work. Instead I talked loads, went out and coughed at people. I did however make a very good purchase (aubergine pickle, maybe the best ever) and a bad one (treacle tart, big disappointment). The pulled pork buyer was fabulous as were the accompanying sweet potato fries. I realise this makes the weekend sound like a food fest but everything was consumed on medical advice and under proper supervision. I hope your weekend was similarly sustaining and flavoursome (nice wine tasting notes I thought).

What a fine week awaits ladies and gentlemen of the blog (and maybe some calming oils on troubled waters where appropriate?). We’ll kick off with some Black Star Riders today-this is the recording name that the current members of Thin Lizzy chose when they decided to record new material. The single Killer Instinct sounds pretty fine to me (and classic Lizzy really) and Scott Gorham and Ricky Warwick will be in. Scott has been one of the twin lead guitarists with Thin Lizzie since the very old days and Ricky is the lead singer who can sound amazingly Lynott-esque when he needs to!

And songs please by Brians. Or Bryans. Any Brian related activity is welcome.Brian the place horse was going to have to change its ‘big sissy’ name to Thor or Odin to make it sound more macho. But the police have relented and Brian can stay Brian so rocknroll Brians-today is your day! How many singing and playing Brians are there? We are about to find out...
