Black Star Riders were good fun yesterday I thought and loved the mixture of American and Northern Ireland accents. They certainly have that Lizzy heritage sound off perfectly. And nice guys too, despite my Europe-baiting. It might make for some interesting backstage banter! I know they’re both ROCK but I’d have thought that BSR would attract different fans, although what do I know about concert promotion? How many gigs have I put on? Exactly.
Another top-notch music guest today with George Ezra on the show. He hasn’t been on before so I’m looking forward to meeting him. His album is so assured for a debut and that voice is quite something else. Does he sound like a 21 year old from Hertford? Not much really. Does he sound like someone who is fascinated with Bob Dylan, Tom Waits and Leadbelly? Well now you come to mention it…George from 6.
