What ho! Top Wednesday greetings to all bloggers everywhere, whether they like Queen or not. Drizzle, overcast, brighter later (or bryter later for Nick Drake fans). If you didn’t hear the tracks you wanted on for Tunesday, there’s another one next week! Hooray! We had so many great songs ready to go, we just have to have a spillover/rollover to fit more in.
Today we are off exploring and adventuring in the company of one of the greats - Ranulph Fiennes OBE! Earlier this year he became the oldest Briton to compete in and finish the Marathon Des Sables, the toughest endurance race on the planet crossing 156 miles of gruelling terrain over 6 days. There’s more…in 2009 he became the oldest Briton to reach the summit of Everest. Here is one amazing man. He has written 'Heat', a companion piece to ‘Cold’ all about his journeys into (unsurprisingly) the world’s hottest places. We should try EXPLORING AND ADVENTURING oldies in his honour (and so much easier than doing the real thing). I shall explore my house and garden in his honour...
Pip pip!
