Early train time. Wake-up-through-the night-afraid-you'll-miss-the-alarm- time. I always look at my best on days like these. You'd be impressed I'm sure. And the fierce sunlight pouring into the carriage is only enhancing things. I think we should all be allowed to wear make up. Or balaclavas, one of the two.
Hope the weekend was all you wanted it to be. Today we (hope to) have Priscilla Presley down the line from the US. There is a huge Elvis retrospective opening at the O2 in London next month. It'll showcase loads of stuff never seen outside Graceland before. Cars, stage costumes, guitars, platinum discs, sparkle, glamour and rocknroll. You get the picture. And maybe now is a good time. Maybe there's a generation or two that needs to be reminded of Elvis and what he changed. As for me, I'll be wearing my high collared white jumpsuit studied with sequins and rhinestones today. And I'll be arriving in my 1955 Pink Cadillac Fleetwood if you want to book your place outside Radio 2. And ELVIS/KING OF ROCKNROLL oldies please-either his songs or songs about him. All good.
5pm if that's ok with you
