To the Tower

On a bus to the poppies. Actually make that tube. I got on the wrong bus and feel rather stupid. But I'm pretending I know what I'm doing and hoping no one realises (bit like everything else really). The display at the Tower of London really is everything you wanted it to be (unless you're a Guardian Art critic). In this mornings sunshine it's hard to imagine any act of remembrance will capture the public the way this one has. The moat is surrounded by a slow, largely quiet, moving crowd. We are all taking pictures, only a few grinning selfies. Anyway one of those ceramic poppies was for my Great Uncle Stan. So thought I'd pay my respects.

Guy Garvey today. He's yet to invite me onto his 6Music show but I'm not bitter. I've already told him I think their current album is one of the best of the year so we'll find other things to discuss. Like he wants to act. And that Elbow have said they're part of the new Band Aid recording of Do They Know It's Christmas so that's all good.

And we could try STORMY WEATHER tunes again. Obviously this choice can lead to last minute changes (like last time) but with a stormy winter forecast by the Met Office, now may be the time!
