Friday blessings, greetings, salutations and groovy vibes. And what a groovy day it is already with the birds singing and the sun shining but school uniform is resolutely refusing to be found. There is a conspiracy. Some organisation somewhere has taken up the task of hiding this stuff but I will conquer and justice will prevail. It definitely isn’t anyone's fault in this house. Absolutely not. I think a Radio 2 uniform would be a good idea. Presenters should all wear the same coloured sweatshirt so we can be spotted from a distance. We could go on outings and everything…
Meantime, Russell Crowe is our guest on the movie show (is he slightly scary? Yes he his actually) and 1986 is our year of requirement on the show. Top hits from a top year please as we say farewell to Alan Dedicoat. 5pm is his final bulletin and we will be bereft. His calm, authoritative voice has guided us through many crises and difficult lottery draws. His confession sound effects are irreplaceable. He’s been around for so long we can’t imagine what it’ll be like without him. So he’d better make a come back soon but until them we say thanks and good luck Alan, there’ll always be a corner of the office with a cake on it,just in case you wander back...
