The trees will be making its grand entrance today. I've spent a few hours cursing in the loft/cupboard that happens to be upstairs. I bought one of those tree bases last year to make everything easier-the kind you can leave some water in and it staggers on to the new year with some of its brittle needles still hanging on for grim life. This base is also blessed with the ability to burrow itself into the most back-breaking corner of the house and then surround itself with cases, boxes and rucksacks. Anyway I pulled it yelling and screaming into another Christmas.
Update...the tree is here and has made short work of the base which is now skewered to the floor again. Apparently a tea bag in the water makes it better. Or some bleach. Or some oil of fragrant blu mountain cheese. Decorating will have to wait. There are shows to prepare! Prize winning confessions to read!
