Well the plan was to see most of Coldplay, then sneak out during Yellow and make it in time for the end of child 3's carol service. This seemed like a good plan, keeping everyone happy. I was sure I could do the 'nice singing, lovely atmosphere' chat, glancing at the order of service when needed. 'Ah yes the 'In Dulce Jubilo' was always a favourite' etc. Needless to say the carols wrapped at 8.30, just as Chris and the boys were getting stuck into 'The Scientist'. A swift new plan was drawn up involving me missing the carol service altogether. This was something i could manage easily. Anyway the Radio Theatre looked looked all dressed up for Christmas and as we all sang together it was almost a carol service by itself. Even if 'Got a tattoo said 'together in life' might not sound very festive. Lovely concert, top album.
Jamie Cullum sings live on the show tonight ahead of his own show, another prize-laden Christmas confession and some of your oldies please. How about CHRISTMAS CARDS-the giving and receiving thereof. Numbers in this house are somewhat down this year. This might be us but maybe we are just not sending them in the volume we used too. A musical version then, if you have something for us...
