Sparkle and Glam

A one hour show you say? But make it just as fabulous? No worries at all. Good morning bloggers from the silent house where no one has stirred yet. The newly arrived tree has filled the place with Christmasy smells and clearly everyone thinks it is holiday time already. Well we are nearly there but a few crazy days first...

So it is BBC Music Awards day today and about time really. It's a big shiny new event and Radio 2 and Radio 1 are teaming with the TV and online comrades to bring you a whole bunch of live music from Gregory Porter, Paloma, Sir Tom (a quick 'Delilah maybe?) and George Ezra amongst many others, some of whom are known only to the youth. Which is of the course one of the reasons for listening and watching. Rather wonderfully, there are only 3 awards! UK Artist and International Artist of the Year (I have voted) and Song of the Year (I haven't voted-that's your bit). The shortlist is at bbc.co.uk/music.

I get on my taxi bike at 6.05, show my pass at 6.30. Realise it's the wrong pass and I'm at the wrong entrance at 6.31. Interview some happy folk then sit back and watch Chris and Fearne run the show. More music, less corporate nonsense.

And, to stay with our theme, can we do songs about SPARKLE AND GLAM please? There will only be a few so make them dazzle!

Oh and a Christmas, radio-winning confession you will not want to miss. Nosiree.
