Good fun with Rev Richard Coles yesterday I thought. Afterwards we compared horror stories about the Radio 1 weekender in Prestatyn in 1987, one of the worst experiences it was possible to have. Turns out he had a bad time too. The Communards wanted to be there about as much as I did but we fixed grins and took part in/observed/tried to avoid the chaotic, debauched revelry. The NME review was headlined 'Radio 1Weekender Horror' and that about sums it up. I trust no bloggers were there to witness the scenes...
Today is Nige and some beef cooked in soil (is that right? Peat-roasted fillet maybe?) and as everyone has been played all the Bobby Boris Picket-type songs how about TRICK OR TREAT oldies? Used to dread it as the door bell would ring with folk asking for sweets for no reason but now seems a more family affair. And less threatening maybe. Anyway let's see what you have for us.
Have a stress and anxiety-free Thursday, see you after 5
