Swift exit from the show last night (leaving some steak around for Jo Whiley I’m afraid) to get to the Garrick Theatre in London’s glittering West End. Ken Branagh’s production of Romeo and Juliet is up and running with Emily James, Richard Madden, Meera Syal and Derek Jacobi all rather brilliant. Sir Ken is on the show next week and already I am chuckling in a KB kind of way.

And toppermost guest of topmost guests Tom Hanks is our Wittertainment star turn on the movie show. You always know he’ll give you just a little bit more than he needs to and be charming, funny and profound at the same time. Then, suitably inspired and with a hop, skip and a jump, we are off at the all-conquering Radio 2 to bring you another ARF. The nymphs and fairies of destiny have selected 1986 as our opening year of requirement. Gary Lineker is the UK’s most expensive player, moving from Everton to Barcelona for £2.7 million. Casualty airs on TV for the first time (roll those eyes Charlie!) and (in England, Wales and Northern Ireland) farewell to the O Level and CSE, now replaced by the GCSE. Love those highlighted fridge timetables.

But what song from those halcyon days of yore do you fancy? Well?

Have a top weekend y’all!
