Morning bloggers
Here we are and its December once more! How did that happen? I still have the Nick Lowe Christmas album in my pile of CDs in the kitchen, waiting to be put away. Now it's time to get it out again! What a slothful chap I am. Mind you, it's one of the best of the crop from one of our finest songwriters so maybe I'll just start the festive season earlier than normal. Loudon Wainwright has a song called 'Suddenly It's Christmas' about the departure of Thanksgiving and its instant replacement with the tinsel but to be honest it's been Winter-Wonderland-Ahoy here for weeks.
As it is December 1st and our Drivetime Advert Calendar goes live on the website (so many joys behind those doors) we are doing ADVENT CALENDAR oldies of course. Oh the joys of chocolate before breakfast.
Book club today with Canadian Denis Theriault's The Peculiar Life Of A Lonely Postman. It's a beautiful, gentle story which totally disappeared when it was published in 2008. Now it is being discovered properly and many are falling under its spell. Read some here and now! We'll be running a little promotion to win all our book choices again; a few presents can be sorted right there!
