Bright sunny and cheery on the 7 o'clock train to York. Porridge a healthy start, though the free bacon butty will be taken shortly I fear. Feels like it'll be quicker to get to York than Wimbledon but that's not tricky; the south London crawl is one of the most depressing journeys know to man (ridiculous overstatement, get on with it).
New book choice is from Jodi Picoult and there's a taster right here should you fancy it. I imagine yesterday's debutante was a little phased by the whole experience as his answers were getting shorter the longer we chatted-a sure sign of panic in my experience. Jodi has sold 14 million copies around the world so I expect her to be a more seasoned campaigner.
Today it's the very lovely Mark Strong who stars in Welcome to the Punch alongside James McAvoy and Andrea Riseborough. He's the voice of Who Do You Think You Are and and had a great role in the award laden Zero Dark Thirty. He's usually a villain but is always utterly delightful and should be great fun.
And oldies today please on VOTING FOR A POPE which starts today. This feels like a bold choice but I'm sure you'll be as inventive as ever.
