Sat on a park bench like book ends

Windy Wednesday here, the house battered for a lot of the night; who knew we had so may loose windows? (Certainly not me) Well there’s nothing like a sleepless night to focus the mind. And watching Miranda Richardson’s new series at 6am felt like it was an early start well spent (and distracted me from the rattling). Miranda (Oscar nomination, Bafta winner, 2 Golden Globes etc) stars in a new Kay Mellor drama tonight on ITV at 9pm. Called Girlfriends, it follows 3 life-long friends who, in middle age, are wondering where all the years have gone. Miranda’s character can’t face growing old, is super-stressed and is the editor of a bridal magazine facing age discrimination; her downfall in episode 1 is spectacular (and funny too).

So does OLD FRIENDS work for some tunes? (Girlfriends might take us down a different route!) I hope so...
