Well good morning and all that stuff. Just another Wednesday to negotiate here; a child to wake up/point in the right direction, some ceramics to pack in bubblewrap (it's for a thing) and a show to assemble. And some oldies to pick! So as a number of you realised, the stormy weather theme had to be dropped once fatalities had been caused by the tail end of Hurricane Gonzalo. We didn't think it would have sounded appropriate. Usually picking a theme in the morning is perfectly fine but just occasionally we have to change the plan.
Today's will be fine, you can choose in confidence. Status Quo will be live on the show at 5.20 talking about their acoustic stuff and the live gig on Jo's show, so DENIM oldies works just fine. Even if the album cover features them without denim. In fact without anything at all. This is NOT A GOOD IDEA and shouldn't be encouraged. But there was a time when it was denim everything, so we'll go with that.
And perennial favourite Mark King of Level 42 will be on too. They're wrapping up a tour this weekend at the Royal Albert Hall with new songs and remastered/reissued/resurrected stuff too. It's all about the bass indeed!
5pm then.
