Weary from the late night, I still have those 4-piece harmonies echoing around my head. Made it to The Eagles with time to spare and a fine night was had by all. As it was called 'The History of the Eagles' we got a more diverse selection of tracks than just the greatest hits; the first section has them sitting around on amps and being casual in a 'oh-look-who's-turned-up' kind of way. There were moments when I wondered whether time was finally taking its toll on those finely tuned larynxes but Lying Eyes, Hotel California and Desperado were always there to reassure and cheer. I would have dropped Rocky Mountain Way at the end (duration 25 mins) and inserted The Last Resort -this was a 'history' after all. But we were sent happy onto the Jubilee Line and a guy asked me to start the show with Hotel California today. Might just do that.

Enough already. Sharon Corr on the show today (I know, it's a tough life) and tunes please for SCHOOL DINNERS as plans are announced for schools in England ; veg every day and no more than 2 portions of fried food a week etc. Hooray for tapioca pudding and unidentifiable gloop in general.

See you at 5!
