The thing is, saying you can't take photos of the band/singer is silly. Saying you can't even text to say you're staying for the encore (or whatever) is also silly. All bands should follow our Jamie Cullum's example. Apparently at his gig last night, he encouraged the crowd to turn their phones on and take as many pictures as they liked. And, as my kids have pointed out, this is only likely to be tried at concerts for audiences of a certain age. Try telling the crowd at say, a One Direction gig that they can't take pictures. Just imagine. Actually I'm all for enjoying the gig without the need to photograph everything, but if you want to snap, you should snap. Child 2 has an illicit, blurred shot of some impossible-to see-old guys with backs of heads all over the place. Imagine the fortune and fame that could come her way with that!
Our traditional midsummer middle-aged, mid-week mosh tonight, prepare yourselves. Take cover/turn it up to 11. And it's time for PADDINGTON BEAR OLDIES as Colin Firth announces he's leaving the film version, as his voice doesn't fit apparently.A show of contrasts...
From 5 then?
