blog_oharas.jpgSince Molly rocked up in Montego Street in December there's never been a dull moment. Her evil powers were in good form in this week's episode so let's take a look back at her dastardly deeds so far.

We first heard tell of Mrs O'Hara just before Christmas, when Scarlett was keen to ensure that Big Bob had cut ties with the mysterious Molly. Of course, we assumed she was his clingy bidie-in, but it was later revealed that Bob was living with his mammy well past his sell-by date!

And when she rode into town on her mobility scooter, it may as well have been a broomstick as far as Scarlett was concerned.

blog_molly.jpgMolly's high point though was trashing the community centre. How nasty was it, leaving Big Bob to get the blame, and the boot, from his new job as jannie? The slip-up here though, Molly, was neglecting to smash the CCTV cameras beforehand...

Scarlett saw it as the perfect excuse to get the polis involved, but soft-hearted Wee Bob couldn't turn his granny out on the street. Before you could say 'Cliff Richard', Molly had her feet well under the table at Bob and Deek's, where her love of fry-ups was bringing the youngsters to their knees.

blog_oharas01.jpgNot a day can go by without mischief-making however,so it wasn't long before she got Stella back on the bottle, with her fortified (ahem) breakfast juice: 'Och, a wee voddy'll not do any harm!'. But it seems the cat is out of the bag: her scared old lady act was revealed as, well, just an act. Molly should've won the talent contest, we think, for services to the dark side.

What's been your favourite 'Molly makes mischief' moment so far?

blog_lorna.jpgWell done, Lorna, on winning the award for Best Scottish Actor/Actress at the Scottish Variety Awards on Friday night. We hear a great night was had by all at the award ceremony, but poor Lorna was so wracked with nerves that she couldn't eat before the ceremony. And our spy tells us that when her name was called out a huge cheer went out around the room: there must have been a lot of River City fans in the audience!

The Sun website has a report about the awards ceremony.

ep25_blog_amber.jpgWhat a state Amber's in, eh? Poor lass. Firstly, Lydia was a bit keen to get her into the process of 'moving on': Yes, when your father's apparently killed your brother, getting back to work in a gossipy salon's a great way to take your mind off things... not. Amber's raw grief wasn't helped by her feeling that everyone in Shieldinch was talking about her family (er, yes, love, they probably are).

And do we think her and Lee hooking up's a good idea? They're certainly a handsome couple but there's something a bit unsettling about seeing Amber and Lee together. Yes, we know they're not related. Doesn't mean we've got used to it that quickly!! What do you think?

But when Amber visited her dad in the nick, we really felt for her. She's swimming through so many lies and deceptions her head's spinning. What d'you reckon she should do?

Spring has sprung!

ep25_blog_love.jpg

Well, looks like Spring's well and truly arrived in the 'Inch. No, we're not talking about the daffs in bloom; good ol' fashioned spring LUST is much in evidence. There's Lee snogging his once-supposed half-sister Amber; Robbie and Hayley going gaga over Adrian; Innes and Jen's mate Beth, and Deek getting starry-eyed over Stella.

Someone needs to take a bucket of water to them all!

And the garage has been hiding a love guru by the sounds of things, eh?

Loved Bob's advice, on matters of the heart, to Deek. And Mr Adam's assessment of his own romantic career: "Two, nearly three engagements , Deek. Many women'. There'll be no more smooching for you, young Bob, if Molly's diet of artery-clogging brekkies continues!

ep26_blog_liz.jpg

Phew, after last week's shocker of an episode, no chance to catch your breath. Body bags in the boatyard brought gasps of horror, not least from Scarlett who was top of the list to keep the world informed.

And wasn't poor Liz put through the wringer? Amazed when she turned up chez Murdoch: didn't you feel sorry for her? Then Lydia's jaw-dropping confession: 'Em, sorry, but I think my hubby knocked off your son'. Not really the kind of thing that can be put right with a cuppa and a custard cream...

Last but not least there's Malcolm going to the cops! Justice may be one thing but perjury is another. What next, I ask?

blog_ewan.jpgWell, Ewan's just popped his clogs, but we hear on the grapevine that the hunt for a new lurve god for Shieldinch made the papers. The Sun and The Mirror reported that casting directors are eyeing up (is that the ACTUAL technical term? well, we can but guess :)) actors to play River City's new ladykiller.

What we CAN tell you is that the River City team are currently casting for a new character called Fraser, and they are looking for a new ladies' man. But it is still very early on in the casting process. So there you go. Obviously, we'd like to be deeply involved in the exhausting, troublesome proess involved in casting the handsome, charismatic Fraser, (so much eye candy, so little time) so we'll keep you in the loop when we hear anymore!

ep23_blog_lydia.jpgOh. My. Word. Nails bitten down the quick here - that was dark.

And tension-filled: Lee and Lydia running round the 'Inch looking for Ewan, Amber on their trail. And the bit on the scaffolding! Do you reckon Lenny would have actually killed Ewan? Brutal.

What made Lydia team up with Lee? Do you think she knew not to trust her husband? Lydia must have known, deep down, of the depths Lenny would go to - a series of shockers though! What had you gripped the most?

Bossy women battling over at the Mullen's - Molly is in need of an OAP ASBO, we reckon, but should you stick your mammy in the nick?

That would have been a good day to have an appointment in the salon, don't you think? What with Ruth dunking Gordon's phone and Robbie's fireworks, it was a busy day indeed. Did feel sorry for Robbie in the end though, and we're glad Gordon took him back - 'Just Gordon's' wouldn't be the same without him, don't you think?

Aw, and it was really good to see Gina getting a good snogging, eh? As Ray put it so well, what are the chances of Gina having a successful love life? Will Murray bring her happiness?

With their talk of wine and toasties it looked like there was a a wee spark between Ray and Eileen too - what d'you reckon?

We hear that the Dumbarton set of River City paid host to a visitor recently.

Libby McArthur, Montego Street's very own Gina Rossi, offered acting tips to budding actor Michael as she took him on a tour of the River City set. Wonder if she got Serge to make him up a piece- to-go when he was in the Cafe? :)

This appearance was featured in STV's 'The Hour' on Wednesday 24th February and you should be able to catch the clip, from Wednesday's show, on 'The Hour''s website.
