The Maccabees have announced their return with a teaser video for new album Given to the Wild. Recorded with Tim Goldsworthy and Bruno Ellingham – of LCD Soundsystem and Massive Attack fame, it is due out at the beginning of next year.
A slue of artists from Bob Dylan to Norah Jones have finished previously unreleased tracks by Hank Williams and created the album The Lost Notebooks of Hank Williams. And Rolling Stone have Jack White’s contribution up on their site to listen to now – called You Know That I Know.
The Power of Independent Trucking have made a R.E.M demo cassette from 1981 available on their site.
David Lynch has made the title track from his new album, Crazy Clown Time, available as a free download – well for the cost of an e-mail address – from his Facebook page.
