Digital Digest: Foo Fighters, Drake & Stevie Wonder, Four Tet and more
Throughout April the Foo Fighters went to fan’s houses, set up in their garages, and rocked out as if they were playing Wembley – and they called it the Garage Tour. The result – some pretty amazing memories for some really lucky fans, and this 40-minute video on YouTube documents it all.
Canadian rapper Drake has grabbed headlines. Stevie Wonder joined him on stage at the OVO Festival – watch on YouTube - and then it was confirmed the two are working together on Drake’s next album.
The next batch of Radiohead remixes – this time from Lone, Four Tet and Pearson Sound – have been made available to stream. CMU have them all.
Four Tet also has a new track, Locked (TEXT 011) up on Soundcloud.
Michael McDonald has made a pretty awesome animated video for Holy Ghosts’Some Children which is now up on Vimeo.
And likewise, Simian Mobile Disco’s video for Gizzard is on YouTube featuring lots of fluorescent insects and other small biological items.
Field Day is one of the bloggiest festivals on the calender and is taking place this weekend. The Quietus are one of the first to get a preview up – they are also hosting a stage – and have a Spotify playlist alongside it to give you a flavour of what to expect.
