The sad passing of Gil Scott-Heron had a lot of people talking this week. Written tributes, Tweets, videos and tracks have been posted from such luminaries as Snoop Dogg and Eminem to XL boss Richard Russell down to people who never met the legendary poet and rapper.

We decided it was a no-brainer to focus on Scott-Heron’s life, work and influence on music through the themed playlist this week, and with the breadth and volume of response we received from you – we clearly weren’t the only ones to be hit by the news.

Culture Deluxe and Fried My Little Brain also came onto the show and told us what is currently making them buzz, and we introduced new features Now Viewing and Now Streaming.
