Digital Digest: MJ's jacket, Radiohead's remixes, Apple's iCloud and more

Martin Rushent, the producer who worked with Fleetwood Mac, T-Rex, the Stranglers and most famously the Human League'sDon't You Want Me? has sadly passed away. Aged 63, a number of sites including Contact Music and Pitchfolk have tributes to him.
Radiohead are releasing a series of remixes as 12” singles. It has already been announced Flying Lotus will cast his web over some of the tracks from King of Limbs, though this latest announcement has confirmed Caribou (Little by Little) and Jacques Greene (Lotus Flower) will be the first producers to take on the Oxford band’s latest work. And speaking of Flying Lotus, his track Do the Astral Plane is the opening track on a Warp sampler which can be downloaded for free via Amazon. The 10-song collection also features production from Bibio, Hudson Mohawke and Jamie Lidell.
As expected, Apple announced their iCloud – the service which allows users to stream all their iTunes purchases via Apple devices. Steve Jobs also announced iMatch, which for $24.99 annually, means users can have their iTunes library scanned and matched with music in the iTunes store which can subsequently be streamed. Nero’s Dubstep Symphony, broadcast from Salford for Mistajam has been picked up by lots of blogs – one being We Are SME as the producers teamed up with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.
Not to be out done by her mother, Bat for Lashes has caught the imagination during her two-night stint at Australia’s Vivid Festival. Staged in the Sydney Opera House, she covered Depeche Mode’sStrangelove, as well as Radiohead and The Cure – all up on Stereogum.
The Prophet Blog are hosting Beyonce’s track with Andre 3000, Party, on their site to be listened to at your leisure.
Beirut have released new track East Harlem on Soundcloud. It is currently number 1 in the Hypem chart, and will be released as a single on July 18, with the album The Rip Tide coming out on August 29.
