P.S. Luckily, I've never had to deal with social service, but from what I have read, many children are abused or even killed by their parents and social service miss all those opportunities to help those poor kids. However, I have never heard of any children who were taken away from their parents for a bit of nappy rash and a few un-washed plates?

the programme is depicting social services very accurately, the baby wasnt taken due to nappy rash and dishes, it was taken because she had been arrested and billy had been drinking, however the nit picking, suspicious, over the top way they have been depicted is very true to life, and also the fact that social workers are constantly being swapped and changed, the female social worker at the moment is exactly what they are like, cold, uncaring, hard nosed... social services always get it wrong, they leave children who should be removed from parents with those abusive parents, and attempt to remove those that only need some help and guidance, not to mention that a large percentage of children in social services care are abused by social service carers, this has lessened over the years but still continues, i feel for lola, as she is experiencing poor standards of social services, it is accurate to say that in this profession only about 35% of social workers are any good, the rest are a waste of space...

discusting!! insest!! who wrights the story lines what is wrong with there sick heads.. lauren & joey are cousins .. you did this before with sharon & dennis they was brother & sister and on top of that they had a kid.. sick twisted writers..

aki legally you are allowed to marry your cousin i wouldnt but isnt wrong. As for Sharon and Denis she was adopted by Den their was no blood relation and they didnt even grow up together!!

Wait a minute aki! This is no incest. Cousins are legally allowed to marry. I don't know which background you come from, but I think this is fine as far as Christianity, Islam an Judaism are concerned. Incest is typically between e.g. father and daughter, bother and sister, uncle and niece and so on (& believe me I find writing down the aforementioned instances really disgusting).

@ youwhat: well, you seem to know more about the subject than I do, as I am from abroad. So probably you are right? The only thing is the actress who plays Lola is not talented enough to make me really feel sorry for Lola. I was supposed to be angry and upset and shout at my TVset when Lexi was being taken away, instead that just left me pretty much emotionless. However, the actress who plays Trish the social services woman, is rather good. She was supposed to create this horibble charachter, and she did!:)

looking foward to this storyline

What a dull boring storyline is this the best the script writers can do ??? Lauraine Newman is in charge so she shouldn't be letting these dull story's happen its hardly gonna keep us Eastenders fans on the edge of our seats is it ??? think the last time I did that watching the show was when Danielle got killed when Diederick Santer was the producer of the show.I think its gone down hill since he left
