My favourites are Dot, Lauren, Denise, Kim, Zainab, Janine, Jean, Kat, Shenice, Fatboy, Patrick and Poppy. I quite like Cora, Ray, Sharon and Shirley as well. Totally agree with Patrick having a sidekick, and would really like to see returns from Grant, Peggy, Ronnie and Stacey, and more scenes between Zainab and Denise.

There are so many I like but if I had to pick it would be:past character- Ronnie Mitchell and current character is would be Tanya Branning or Jack Branning.

My fave eastenders characters definatly have to be: Dot, Fatboy, Tanya, Lauren, Abi, Jay, Amy, Kat, Roxy. But if I had to choose one it would have to be Dot, becoz she is a legend, she is probably the oldest in the square and is the one person nearly everyone goes to for advise. She always knows what to say and I see her as a grandmother figure to everyone, it would be nice to see some old faces such as charlie and peggy and definatly grant back on the square, and eastenders definatly need a new family on the square instead of random people joining the already exsisting families.

@turbomomma - I agree! I love it when EE involves animals in the programme! It will sound silly, but I think it would be kinda cool if Sasha got a dog!!! Reasons:



Sasha is into florensics, and dogs are often used by police to sniff out evidence etc., so I think she could have a lot of fun with that :)



There could also be a bit of humour in it because the dog could annoy Ray by stealing food from his kitchen! (LOL!)



My fave character has to be Abi when I narrow it down. She's sweet and cute and always seems to be cheerful despite the fact that she never has an easy time.



I also LOVE her for wanting to be a vet! Good for her! :D



Actually it would also be cute if Abi got a new pet. Lol, when she returns things are gonna be really tough, so I guess some kind animal friend might help to cheer her up :)

Its hard to choose my fav as I love lots; shirley,denise,masood,patrick,Tanya... but my numero uno has to be Alfie. Lucy`s cold hearted role to her dad is disgusting (?a new Janine I guess). still missing stacey.

I love Michael Moon's subtle facial nuances...fascinating to watch. Roxy is also fun to watch, Shirley Carter has developed into a more and more interesting character, Little Tiff--pure gold, Poppy (& Jody Gold): v. funny together and likeable, Hev Trott--need I say more--bring her back! and Max: brilliant, and a nod to Masood for being so darn likeable (love Masood!) Stacey was incredibly believable and she and Bradley were the best--she really added such a spark to the show. But really, the outstanding star here is Phil Mitchell. No one plays a drunk/crackhead like Phil. Absolutely outstanding actor who makes the show.

Sorry Abs, I forgot to add you to my list. You are one adorable girl!

Christian & Syed are my favourite characters in the show at the moment. From

past characters, I have to say Dennis Rickman will always have a special place in my heart ! Seeing Sharon back with Dennis Jnr is making me miss him even more.

oh thats easy, a mix bag of actors some good, some not so good. imo ann mitchell who plays cora is outstanding. ann could give a master class in acting. eastenders are very lucky to have the likes of ann mitchell in their cast.

Definitely Roxy. She has this quirky charm to her, and always lights up the screen. Along with Ronnie and Peggy, she's definitely my favourite all time EE character. Give her more storylines!

Zainab, Massod, Dot and Jean are all brilliant they always make my laugh and I'm always on their side. I also love Cora and Tiffiny. While I really admire Denise and have a strange fondness of Derek :) I also like newcomer Cody Martin, I mean Denny.

1 - Jean Slater (she can flip between comic, dramatic and tragic roles with ease)

2 - Grant Mitchell (the bad boy who all other bad boys get compared to)

3 - Dot Cotton/Branning (the moral compass who has a bible passage for all occasions)

4 - Heather Trott (she loved Geroge Michael, and the last thing she heard was 'WHAM' as the picture frame hit her- bad joke, sorry)

5 - Tiffany Butcher - (I hope she returns, as I can see her turning into a great actress and an interesting character)

6 - DCI Jill Marsden - (One day we will see her catch that pesky Phil Mitchell and get her promotion)

7 - Zainab Masood - (The woman who is only happy when she is angry)

8 - Janine Butcher - (She truly deserves all the awards she has won for being a soap-megab*tch

9 - Denise and Kim Fox - (I have put these two together because they work best when playing off of each other)

10 - Lucy Beale (original) - (The original Lucy Beale was a great character played by a great actress. The only reason she didnt win awards for being 'evil' was because she was up against Janine.)

11 - Little Willy - (The most iconic of all the EE pets who deserves an award for being a dog AND an innuendo)

12 - Tracey the Barmaid - (Lets face it. We all sit on the edge of our seats when we see her, wondering if she gets a line. Plus, she is actually one of the two remaining original characters despite only being an extra.)

I love Kim. She is hilarious!

Shirley is my favorite, I have loved that character since the first episode she appeared in. I said back then that she would be a perfect match for our Phil and what a ride that has been. I look forward to plenty more Shirley story lines in the future.
