Looks like an emotional week, I cried when Pat died, not sure i will be able to cope with the funeral!



Just looking at the pic of Jack at James' headstone brings a tear to my eye.



I think Carol and David should go for it, they are great together and its time someone made Carol smile.

This week looks great, Pats death was very sad though. And great to see the newcomers :)

tyler and whitney should b together they r my fav characters in the show. i think fatz is a nice guy but i donno ... anywya tyler obviously loves whitney more than any other girl ever

The new Lucy looks hot!

The episodes ahead look really great, a new Lucy Beale should start some more dramas across the square and Morgans dad has arrived which should be as dramatic as it sounds, how is Bianca going to react, i guess we will see..

Why is Whitney crying? Did Bianca kick her butt for calling Morgan`s Dad? Well, Whitney was just fed up with the fact that her family are always desperately short of cash and she thinks that Morgan`s Dad owes Bianca a small fortune in child support. Or maybe it`s Whitney at Pat`s funeral? Pat was like her Grandma too. Or perhaps she is upset because her past affect her relationships with blokes, even with Fatboy? We have to wait and see. Well, and we know that Bianca and Ricky are in real trouble, and so are Carol and David, because of Ray and Derek respectively. And how about Mandy - Ricky still does not know about their baby? And as for the Masoods, hopefully Zainab will be back to her old, pre-Yusef self, and back with her husband. But I think sooner or later, both Afia and Tamwar will find out about her lie during B&B fire. Somehow I don`t think they will be happy. Zainab is lucky they don`t talk to each other - for now. Also, the rumor is that Yusef made her pregnant before he died. Syed - if you ignore Amira, she will go away. As simple as that. She may be many things, but she will not tolerate being a doormat for long.

I don't think Amira will go away if Syed ignores her - she still has family in Masood and Zainab and let's face it, she doesn't want to live with her dad again.

I like Derek! How he told Carol "I am saving you from yourself". A bit rich coming from a jail bird, isnt` it? He is annoying a hell out of everyone this guy!:)

And I think Ian deserves this Mandy. He didn`t appreciate Jane, so now he is a doormat to this cheap, class-less woman. Hate the fact that Ricky and Bianca re having problems because of her now. Hope it will not be the end of them,which is likely because Patsy was saying that she wants to be with her new born baby as much as possible and she is not prepared to give all of her time to EE, and Sid has a lot of exciting interests outside EE as well and gets tired of Ricky every now and again. Hope Lucy will show Mandy her place!:)

@ my favorite person to discuss EE with, Of course:) She just won`t leave, Amira, this annoying woman. Hope she will though. And what Ant sees in her? He is a cute and nice guy, he can do so much better.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like David Wicks being back in the square but i'm actually loving it and the spark between him and carol is just brilliant( I think he's very sexy), surely the poor woman deserves a bit of happiness and tell Derek to back off she's a grown woman. If he has been written out, please eastenders bring him back as he's very much eye candy something to smile about in eastenders along with Christian even though he is gay!

I love to see Whitney and Tyler get back together! Fatboy is a nice but i think they are better as friends. I dunno why but i would like to see Lauren and Ant to get together. Carol and David, Bianca and Ricky to stay together because they are great together. Cant wait for next weeks episodes because there is alot of drama between tyler, whitney, fatboy. i have seen the pictures! I am sadly going to miss Pat Evans! EastEnders is my favourite soap of all time! :)) xx

Oh whyyyyyy di that have to happen, poor Carol :( She fell over and everything. Flippin heck Derek get a grip, anyone would think you fancy her, y'know, if she wasn't your sister, seriously though, get over yourself. David come back and get Carol :'(

Just watched Eastenders. David's done it this time, leaving Carol AGAIN! But, he wanted the best for Carol and thats all that matter to him. and Simon at the end!!!i think Simon is staying. i wish David would have stayed, but im glad Carol's stayed. Pats funeral at the beggining made me cry (literally) we will miss you Pat xx and great episode tonight ;)

I have changed my mind. David and Carol shouldnt be together! Tyler and Whitney are still perfect together. It should be: Tyler and Whitney, Fatboy and Mercy, Anthony and Lauren, Jay and Abi. These are perfect couples. Ricky and Bianca should stay together. I hope Tyler and Whitney get together soon. EastEnders is the best soap ever!! :)) xx

@Annegee - Oh please, you can't have David staying in EE just because he is eye candy! So shallow!!

In that case bring back Ronnie and Jodie too, also Mel - remember her? Gorgeous. Actually, there isn't any female eye candy left now as Amira's not looking so good these days - what have they done to her? Though Carol's ok for an older woman - better in real life though.

Christian is gay but David is gay in real life.

Noooo, not Lauren and Ant - he way too good for her, she's annoying. He can do better than her lookswise too.

Really feel that there should be hope (especially in todays world) show the country that Carol and David can make a go of it - pay him a little more to stay! He is a good actor and so is she, they would make a difference after losing Pat. Pat is a great loss to Eastenders, I really don't think she can be replaced, I wish her well, but she does leave a void.

Clever bringing back David and his brother, but please don't let it end there!

Please bring back Michael French aka David Wicks, he is just brilliant and just gorgeous, he is my guilty pleasure and he brings that specialness that i think is missing from EE's. So whoever holds the purse strings on the set make that man an offer he can't refuse to get him back!! I know I could certainly think of a few offers to ask him!! :)

Bring back David + Simon Wicks, two nice looking guys. (Although Nick Berry got do with a Hair Dye). I would love to see these two back on eastenders, and stick around for a while.

The Moon Brothers and Wicks Brothers are so nice looking. I would like to see these two family's do something together, to drive out that Fat Slob Derek (I hate His "I'm Mr. Big Attitude). Would be nice If they brought back Eddie Moon (David Essex) to organise it all.

Nice Friday episode, but I was disappointed when David did leave Carol after all. He just got scared of how complicated his life would become with her. Derek will have to be killed to leave them alone, and Carol will miss Bianca and the kids too much to be away from them.

Come on, EE! I just knew you'd let David go. SO PREDICTABLE! So cynical. Surprise us, a little. So many of your female viewers go on about how sexy he is (indeed, he has aged incredibly well) but more than that, he's a very good actor. Those scenes between Carol and himself took EE to another level, in acting terms. The vulnerability, tenderness and enduring love seen in those scenes over the last 2 weeks between those 2 actors was REAL CLASS. That kind of relationship is rarely seen in EE (maybe becuase of the age of the characters as well as the acting ability), although EE does a lot of other stuff really well, honest. The tension between Ian and David and especially between David and Derek could be further developed too. There's definitely scope for him in the soap. EE is a much bigger show than Casualty. Surely, Michael French can be tempted back. David Wicks is a much more dynamic character to play than Nick Jordan in Casualty. This website has already taken a poll which voted overwhelmingly in favour or Carole and Daivd getting back together. You've also had loads of positive comments re David Wicks. Come on BBC, what does it take? Honestly!

Well i was thoroughly disappointed with last night's episode. The BBC promised to give Pat the send off she deserved. This couldn't have been further from the truth. It was a travesty. I was expecting a tribute to the great Pam St Clement and the brilliant Pat Butcher (Evans) from all her wonderful collleagues but it was just a stepping stone to cheap storylines. It's ruined it for me, I don't think I can watch it again. A betrayal to the loyal viewers.

I have to agree with you munster07 pats funeral was very poorly done and the story between David and carol ect over took the whole episode however I will still keep watching as I am a loyal fan of the show and stay with it no matter what .I HAVE TO SAY THIS LOUD AND CLEAR STOP PUTTING EVERY MALE CHARACTER IN A SUIT DAVID WICKS WORE A SUIT THREW OUT EVERY EPISODE YET NEVER HAD TO GO WORK THEN THERE IS JACK, MAX DERICK , MICHAEL FAT BOY NOW WHERES A SUIT NEARLY ALL THE TIME. How comes Pat's funeral is set in early autemn when she only died last week after Xmas? That is VERY bad continuity, guys - sunshine, trees covered in green leaves with just a few starting to turn yellow and brown???? Not to mention that it was in some Essex village - nowhere near the East End!!!!!

I personally loved the pre-fire relationship between Afia and Tamwar. They were the normal ones in the family and also I think maybe their family is a bit too unrealistic. I mean no drama could happen to one family.Alsp talking about the masood family I think the Christian/Syed situation needs to be put to rest. Since Amira has come back to the square their relationship has crumbled and maybe its time for a new group of characters to have a shot in the lime light. I do want Afia and Tamwar to sort out their troubles and get past everything because they are a genuine couple and my favourite couple at the moment in eastenders. Plus I don't think Afia has had enough time to sort out her feelings about her father and about how she realised his true identitiy. Much love...

You know, when you are looking forward to something too much and have really high expectations about something, when this something actually happens, it will be a disappointment. That`s happened to Pat`s death and funeral. Thais character is a legend. Her and Peggy, along with Stacey and Phil - they ARE Eastenders. And everybody thought the episodes where Pat dies and buried will be out of this world. The biggest problem I have with Friday episode - the funeral WAS overshadowed by David/Carol story line, and Peggy should have been there. There was no excuse for her not being there.

Please, please, please bring back some gangsters.

I don't want to watch real life play out in front of my eyes.

I want drama and nothing yet compares to the oldies you had on the show.

You use to have some amazing gangsters and made great viewing.

Im sorry, but i don't like the new lucy! I think what eastenders needs is more old characters back like Peggy or Grant or Stacey, etc. They all need to be bought back cause i prefer watchin coronation street at the moment since it has more older characters, like Noris and Mary. The older characters seem to be more funnier too so please please please eastenders if you look at theses comments could you think about some of the viewers ideas, thanks. I hope some older characters come back very soon. There is too many young characters, not sayin they rubbish, they are amazing but i just think we need older characters. Pleaseee put some more in please please please, oh and why are you taking Ricky and Heather out, they should've stayed, hope they all come back in the future!! eastenders will always be rubbish too watch u get into it than something comes along and make it rubbish they don't show forgiveness they happy too make the show go wrong like life in england everytime i watch eastenders i feel why did i even bother, while this time i had enough of it its alot of rubbish i rather watch a movie and done with it

I also cannot believe you let David go, a twist in the tale and David could come back and deal with the Brannings and also become top dog!-that would be a twist!

Really good to see David and Carol together again - a shame it was short lived - its time Carol had some happiness. Very good to see David Wickes back in Eastenders - very good actor a pity he is not in it more often. It makes a change from all the doom and gloom.

I want Michael French ( David Wickes ) back in Eastenders, really was'nt the same watching it without him! You need to bring him back! It was great seeing Carol and David back together after such a long time! Lots of viewers will think the same as I do, so bring him back!!! I love him! Still no sign of Nick Berry, when is he making a show? Please listen to the viewers!!
