Episode discussion for week starting 7 November

Why does jane look like she has a wig on!! lol, Ben looks scary as allways! and who is phil kidding trying to beat up micheal i would back micheal in a fight with phil anyday due to the fact micheal is mental and u dont know what hes gonna do! if i was anthony i would choose poppy she is far more pretty than jodie! And also who is ian kidding he will never be happily married (if thats what hes doing)

The storylines are not good lately. Sorry Eastenders writers but you drag the storylines out too long. I hate the Masoods storyline and since it is the main focus until christmas...things are not looking good. Poor Christian!

I agree with Clare about the storylines being boring at the moment. Having eradicated most of the really good characters, it seems like we are supposed to make due with the understudies in some pretty lame stories.



I find myself missing more episodes and wishing I had not tuned in when I do.

I can't stand what is happening to the gorgeous Chryed, its heartbreaking. Ben is a creepy liar, he really needs to stop resorting to lying.

Yusef needs to get his comeuppance, the sooner the better, and Amira is the most deluded character ever, how many times does Syed have to tell her he is gay and loves Christian ?! She is very wicked, teaming up with Yusef to hurt Chryed, i hope she gets her comeuppance too.

The single worst thing the BBC has ever done with Eastenders is hire Bryan Kirkwood. Since he took the helm, Eastenders has turned into Hollyoaks and it is absolutely AWFUL.



The storylines are unbelievable (and by that I mean unbelievable even for soapland) - I mean Phil Mitchell being addicted to crack but being fine a couple of weeks later? Er ok. Suddenly Roxy Mitchell, who wasn't of interest to social services at all previously, has had to hand her daughter over to the father who hasn't shown much more than a passing interest. How realistic!



Whilst I'm not expecting gritty realism such as that we might find with Ken Loach, there is a happy medium. This sort of nonsense may wash with Hollyoaks viewers but that is because the majority are teenagers or people whose brains are too mashed on a Sunday after a big night out on a Saturday for them to find the remote control (I know, I've been there). Eastenders never was and shouldn't be that kind of soap. For the first time ever I have found myself actually irritated by the ridiculousness of Eastenders. Sack him please and sort it out!

I have only recently started watching Eastender again after losing interest following some bad story lines. This story line with Ben accusing Christian of touching him is wrong how you can let this happen to a character like Christian this is bad taste. Won’t be watching any more

Im a big fan of Eastenders and I have watched every episode. We love it but when it comes to relationships there is too much information on screen and we can work it out for ourselves ! Children do watch with there families and it is sometimes awkward. It has calmed down alot from the Max and Stacey days but there are times when there is still too much information for relationship storey lines.

i watch eastenders and i am a huge fan but now i think the storylines are getting absolutly ridiculous...



i heard that this story is gonna start with phil about someone tormenting him about something that happened in the past with frank butcher... something about the car lot being set on fire and a homeless guy being accidentally killed ??



btw i heard jodie and poppy are leaving.... ill give anthony 3 months before he eventually turns gay ;D

oh and also i wish everyone would stop moaning about brian kirkwood... i know the storylines have been a bit crap and most of the characters are complete dooshes... not mentioning any names (*cough* anthony *cough*) but i think that we should give this brian guy a chance...

i think the eastenders storyline with ben and christian is going way to far, recently someone i know was accuse of the same thing and it just goes to show how easy it is to blame someone for something they didn't do, hope this storyline will be ending soon :(

Eastenders seems to be picking up lately witch is good gotta say yesterdays episode [7th Nov] bad editing when christian was on the phone in the cafe with Ben then when zainab was outside her house with a bunch of flowers not sure if anybody else noticed ??? I was getting very board of the massod storyline but now amira and yusef have joined together and Ben is lying about christian and not forgetting roxy having her baby taken away the show is really picking up I hear the masood story goes on until Christmas so Eastenders better not disappoint if all is revealed on Christmas day.Christmas day episodes are all ways what I look forward to the most and even thow last years episode was good I think It should of been an hour long special episode not a Christmas ep It just did not seem right so Im expecting big things this year cant wait hopefully its worth it

Though am sad that Christian will be leaving, on the other hand am happy because we got to see how it plays out when he return in December. Hoping for the mother of all make ups with Syed. Love them both.

-ben almost got his cousin killed and a few days later hes trying to seduce christian? you would think he would be still quite affected by what happened to amy



-taking amy from her mum was the most laughable storyline of the year, my goodness if it was that easy to get a kid from her mother fathers for justice would be laughing!



-what is point of the moon brothers, poppy and jodie storyline, anyone?

i agree with a few comments here about the storyline's dragging on a bit too long in some areas. I'm getting really fed up with 'evil Yusef'. I'd LOVE to see Mas and Zainab back together (their chemistry is just right) and for goodness sake, when will Max be back in town?? I do like the love triangle with Ant, Poppy and Jodie though - despite the lack of iQ between the three of them.

i am a big fan of corrie and obviously it has been ruuning for longer then the square but i am also a watcher of eastender's and there have been some great story lines since it started back in the 80's , but come on .

what is going on right now ? .

the gay story line is now boring and every time i switch over to bbc 1 in the hope there might be a different story starting i find myself quickly grabbing the remote and switching back over to whatever is on another channel .

infact i switched over to a great programme the other night and it was far more better .

a programme on paint drying lol .

i see jane is back , will she want to get back with ian or the postie , who know's .

mind you , who in there right mind would want to be with ian anyway .

i was not a fan of mandy when she was in the show years ago , her character got on my nerve's .

but ian buying her a 2o quid ring was kind of not on , it still made me smile though .

can mandy be serious about wanting to marry ian or is she out for his bank balance ? .

but if she doe's get together with him the relationship is bound not to last given previous love relationships in the square between other character's .

any relationship in any soap , eastender's , corrie or emmerdale is doomed from day one these day's .

eastender's please please please put some comedy back into the show .

the episode that time when billy got shut in the warehouse and was in his west ham boxer's was funny .

and the episode when ian took alfie to the church in his chip van was also good .

i know i am talking about episode's that are now way old but you need to put some more of those funny moment's back into the show .

i know the show is not a comedy .

but recently it has just got tedious .

did not like the way phil pushed shirley down tonight. he didnt even say sorry to her after and he pushed her away when she tried to hold him but then he tried to talk to her later. wtf was that about? so confusing!!

Please directors you have some good plots but lift the mood! there is nothing light at the moment and nothing good to any of your storyline in this weeks episodes. Poor swans I say. Winters here so lets look forward to some cheerfulness please! let someone win love or lotto. We need a good party and not just christmas!

Quite a few comments here were about being tired of the Masoods/Yousef story line and generally all the "doom and gloom" in EE. Totally agree with that. I have said that before and I am saying that again - EE needs better script writers, or it is in danger of becoming a very cheap Mexican soap. I know, it`s not supposed to be a masterpiece of literature, either, but come on! And as for the situation the Masoods are in now, Zainab knows what kind of person her ex-husband is, and if she still trusts him and relies on him that much, she deserves the situation she is in. AND now he is showing a bit of his abusive side as well. I quite like Masood and Jane, but did he come to her only because he was upset by Yousef being with Zainab? And Syed - he made so many mistakes, and now he will have to pay for them by being without Christian and having to live with Amira. I just feel sorry for Christian. And Poppy - what the hell do you mean by "MY Anthony"? You have only dated him for five minutes, love, and Jodie FORCED him to ask you for a date - the guy is interested in your friend, not in you, so let it go.
