Greetings from Innsbruck Austria - here we watch BBC too, and of course EastEnders.Last Christmas I met Big Mo at Tesco´s and 3 hours later Lucy at the Giant Wheel ( they are both very friendly!)- wahat a coincidence!

Anyway, I really think, when Bianca returns, she should wear a different jacket!



We here are still watching poor Ryan having fevercramps, despite regularly looking into the spoilers, I find it nervewrecking................

i think people who hate ronnie or stupit as its not her fault its the writers and she has to play that part or she will get fire so stop saying thats its ronnie when its not she would really steal a baby in real life and if use think that use or stupit

Poor Alfie - he's in such a tough position trying to work out what Kat (understandably in shock and that) wants and to do what's best for the both of them and for Tommy.

Well, since there are no other comments so far, I shall proceed with my opinion on the issues of the following series.

I truly consider it a good idea, to take important sissues into the plots, since there are always differnet ways of looking at things, the audience can learn a lot about themselves. Many prejudices may disappear, on the other hand, some may actually see, how their actions have impact on other peoples lives.

Peggy Mitchell was a spitting image of my friends mother, just he does´t look like Phil.....and so on.

The worst character to me was by far Sam Mitchell.

Anyway, the advanced generation in the show is vital!

The young ones, Fat Boy, Zsa Zsa and Leon.........are not ( yet) giving body!

Except Jay, he is absolutely fabulous, serious stuff!

I wish, that Jane would finally leave that Twitt Ian Beal ( lovely man in reality)and, Glenda too got away too easy.

Mothers that know about their daughters beeing abused by their husbands and are not stopping that are bad news!!!!!!

Janine is a difficult story, she is victim and a criminal at the same time.....like many of us. This character must be handled very carefully! Kat and Alfie, sometimes, seem to be a bit outdated, althought lovely. Lucky strike and babies don´t go well together.

I love Pat. Dot is like Sachertorte and cream and Shirley, eyes like a butcher´s knife, has looked her best in the black suit and hat. ( I have sent her regards with Lucy, last year, today again!)

I have noticed the very sudden Edelweiss - lullaby of Mrs. Massoud , sung to her little son last January, perhaps this was a secret greeting to the Austrian addicts?

Our local Indian now has Massala Massoud on the menu and we do no longer boil hot water for tea, but " put the kettle on"!

I better stop know, but one more thing: Don´t be afraid of issues!

I am completely confused with what is happening with the Kat and Ronnie story. I was lead to believe that the story was going to be resolved but I have just read that the storyline may continue until the spring??? Plus the wrong episode was broadcast at 7.30pm and I had to watch the correct one online afterwards!!! I want so much to see the end of the swap so that the real subject of the whole cot death can be focused upon. I do think that Jessie Wallace is a fantastic actress and well done to her for taking on such a difficult and very sensitive subject.

I just watched yesterdays episode of eastenders - BBC you played the wrong episode. Please get it sorted for the BBC3 slot tonight.

I have read that the cot death storyline is going to carry on untill Spring time, which is strange as she handed baby Tommy over last night, I really don't know how she can get her self out of it and I wish she would of just said that it was Tommy, Would of made better showing as last nights episode seemed awfully strange, especially with Jodie and Poppy :S

The storylines actually are always shortcuts, no matter what soap or films or plays or books....for that matter!

I am a huge Enders fan but yet again, they're resorting to allowing hard up old cast members to come crawling back with their tails between their legs now they've realised that they're no good at playing anything else but their previous Enders character. Time for some new blood, after all, surely that's what all the taxpayers money being pumped into Brit School should be for, showcasing up-and-coming NEW talent, not dredging up the same old faces?!?! Clearly maternity pay has run out for Natalie Cassidy & she needs even MORE money to clothe her new child in overpriced attire since voiceovers aren't paying well enough. Move over & let's get some new blood on the scene, with any luck they'll be fresh-faced, keen & ready to impress with some proper acting!

Since I have been watching EastEnders since 2003 I could easily comment about 212345 events, but I just wanted to join in to what I thought was a fan community!

cazzabean, I think the older memebers are doing a great job, the young talents might not be able to ensure continuity, as good as they may be.In real life, they keep coming back, too! Isn´t it?

Come to think, would it be favourable for new talent to be labelled an EastEnder star to soon?

The Tuesday episode of Eastenders where Jodie & Poppy were talking in the pub was one of the funniest moments of Eastenders in YEARS!!! I realise the BBC were probably just filling in a spot after changing the storyline But excellant...more of it please. Having been an EE fan for many years its become more and more depressing, bring on more of the funnier side and well done to the 2 actresses that played the part!!

I think the storyline in eastenders is very depressing and at this rate many people are backing out and they may not watch east enders anymore because its realy un-relisitc and the story line may affect many ppl.

please bring the kat ronie story line to an end .it is so upseting to see kat and wot she is going throu . I LOVE EASTENDERS but while this story line is going on i dont want to watch it its to upseting . please eastenders sort it out i dont want to wait till spring :'(

Having been a fan since the outset mye outrage is too much over the Tommy storyline. I doubt that it will concern anyone at the BBC but I will not be watching Eastender sagain until I hear that Tommy's family is resolved.As it rightfully should be.

I think that Sonia is a rubbish character and was glad when she left Albert Square with Martin Fowler some years ago...

I am a huge fan of eastenders and would just like to congratulate Sam, Jesse and Shane for their outstanding performances throughout this difficult storyline and can't wait to see how it's resolved. Also I'd like to remind people that although the storyline is distressing to some viewers it's only fiction.

I cant believe they're still dragging out the kat/ronnie story. pure stupidity. its pissing me off to high hell and im sure im not the only one!

I have reserved judgement on the 'taboo' story-line and not given a 'knee-jerk' reaction as some have arguably done. I personally feel that Jessie Wallace (Kat) and Samantha Womack (Ronnie) should be applauded for their portrayals over what is undoubtedly a very gritty storyline - is there ever any other sort in Eastenders?



No matter what gritty storyline there is, there will always be some area of society who may take offence - 'corrupt coppers' accepting bribes during the investigation into Archie's death, the turbulent relationship between Owen and Denise, Syed and Christian's relationship where sexuality and religion are involved - all are bound to create a stir!



The whole issue about cot death is being portrayed accurately through the character of Kat - goodness knows how this will 'resolve', and whilst some may say it's 'unrealistic' that a mother who loses a child to cot death would become as unhinged as Ronnie... one has to bear in mind the character of Ronnie and what she has been through.



It is sad that people cannot seem to separate fact from fiction! Surely the definition of a soap opera is that it IS dramatic fiction?

I am hating this story about the dead baby, Can't watch it upsetting when you have lost a baby , I would have a nervous breakdown if someone did that to me . And god help her I would not be understanding at all.

When are you going to cut that terrible story I won't be watching till you do.

I have been watching eastenders since 1990 (my first time in uk).

Even now that I am inItaly I still watch it BUT I feel really unconfortable with the latest episodes about the swap of the babie, problably 'cos I've got a kid. I cannot watch it!!!!

I hope the situation will be solved soon otherwise I will not be able to enjoy eastenders................please change the storyline

I grew up in the East End and North London in the 50's,60's and 70's and still have family in the area. I used to be a big fan of Eastenders as it reflected, not entirely accuratly, the friendships, situations and memories I could associate with this period. Unfortunatly the present and recent past story lines have degenerated into a mire of unrelenting doom, gloom and misery which in no way reflects the East End that I now know or have known in the past.

Is it me or is eastenders gettin weirder by the second.....The old producer needs to come back this one aint no good!!!!!! And todays episode i cannot believe my ears when i heard TRACEY say all those lines...i haven't heard her talk in years i was beginning to think she was mute!!!

Reading through the comments, how can the BBC actually play out the 'wrong' episode? Episodes are scheduled months in advance, and the nations (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland) all have the same version to play out. The storyline has been changed, so scenes are either added or removed from the episode (such as the scenes with Poppy and Jody in the pub/café).



The Kat/Ronnie/Cot Death/Baby Swap storyline is a good storyline, and very emotionally charged. Jessie is a brilliant actress and should win a Soap Award for her acting in this (see also: Corrie: The Road To Coronation Street [TX: BBC Four]).



So well done BBC Elstree and everybody at EastEnders for brining a brilliant storyline to the front, and allowing us to see the softer, hurt side of Kat Moon.



But as far as the 'wrong' episode was played out, I think you're wrong. The same version appears on the BBC iPlayer both online and through Digital Television!

Does anyone know what song is played in the background in Tuesday's episode (11 January) when Jodie, Poppy and Darren are leaving the pub, and when Bianca is shouting at Morgan for getting a peanut in his ear?

I think the Ronnie/Kat storyline has been absolutely brilliant. Sad, yes, but beautifully written and acted. I only wish that the intended funeral scenes weren't cut in favor of the filler scenes. I would love to see what we were meant to see - the was it was originally intended.



I personally think EastEnders should NOT give in to those who are protesting. It is a stronger show when it ignores those voices and just does what it does best.

I really like EastEnders, however the story line with Kat and Ronnie was utterly disturbing. I think that maybe once, just once celebrating the new year happily would be LOVELY !!!!

I still think the baby swop story line is totally unbelievable, but I felt the funeral was very tastefully done. I thought the poem Jean read out (A Child Loaned) was beautiful and did prompt a few tears as it reminded me of my own baby's funeral. I think it would have been so much better if Ronnie had been allowed to grieve for her baby in the proper way. I know it is only a programme, but when it is done well it helps viewers to deal with similar situations in their own lives. After all the definition of a soap opera is a programme that deals with sentimentalised family matters - and as Katiieee says, would it hurt to let the characters have a happy new year for once?

Sounds interesting, i want kat to get her baby back soon!

I have just seen in a magazine that Lacey Turner is due to play a part in BEING HUMAN 3. Can't wait! I miss Lacey Turner in Easties and am so excited to watch her next venture away from Eastenders! All the best Lacey.

I feel very sorry for samantha who plays ronnie because she got attacted in the streets and got called a murderer it wasn't her fault that the eastenders gave her that role and anyway i think she is an AMAZING ACTRESS i think people should give her a chance and think that she hasn't really stolen someones baby so i am against the people who hate her!!!she may have had a bad storyline and i don't really like her because of that!!!But I LOVE SAMANTHA I THINK SHE IS AMAZING!!!!!DON'T LISTEN TO ALL THE PEOPLE COZ WE LOVE YA X
