EastEnders win six Inside Soap Awards!
Never mind the frock shocks at tonight's Inside Soap Awards... EastEnders have scooped SIX gongs at the bash, including the prestigious Best Soap accolade.

As well as clinching the top prize, here's the rest of the best voted by YOU...
Best Actress - Lacey Turner

The brilliant star beat off stiff competition to win Best Actress for the fifth year in a row. Her portrayal as Bipolar sufferer, Stacey, has reaped in the awards!
Lacey said of winning: "It's always nice to win an award, but when it's voted for by the viewers it makes it even more special.
"It has definitely been a challenging year but I am so grateful that EastEnders have given me such fantastic storylines."
She added: "I am so pleased that the viewers still love Stacey and haven't got bored of me!" We never get bored, do we?
Best Newcomer - Ricky Norwood

Ricky first hit our screens as slippery, wheeler dealer Arthur "Fatboy" Chubb in E20. The cheeky charmer became a hit with the Walford residents with his wayward ways. Ricky plays the Fatster brilliantly. You can follow Fatboy on Twitter too @manlikefatboy.
Sexiest Male - Scott Maslen

Yum scrum. As well as shaking his hips on Strictly Come Dancing, Scott's got us all a-quiver as he won Sexiest Male at the 15th annual awards. It must be such hard work being dishy Jack.
Best Wedding - Syed & Amira

Aaawww... 2010 started with a bang with Syed and Amira's wedding. 11.6 million of us tuned in to the New Years Day double episode. It was not only spectacular, but it topped the richter scale when it came to drama. The nuptials included fabulous outfits, huge shocks and lots of tears...
Best Exit - Charlie Clements

Wow... who didn't shed a tear over Bradley's death!? EastEnders' 25th anniversary celebrated with a live episode which had 16.6m of us perched on the edge of our seats with our hands to our faces. Poor Bradders fell to his death moments before Stacey admitted to Max that she killed evil Archie... the madam! The knit-wearing lovely is missed, but not forgotten. Nice one, Charlie.
Thank you for all your votes!

Fatboy is clearly one of the new iconic characters from the square, and Charlie will most definitely not be forgotten.
Argh, but as for Scott Maslen - EURGH.

How much sweeter is it that Christian and Syed are solid as a couple now, having watched them torn to shreds by that sham of a wedding day. Long may they be loved up and luscious ;-)

How on earth did best newcomer award go to Ricky Norwood (Fatboy) i can't even understand a word he says. His character is only appealing to the under twenty age group.
The storylines recently have been very poor in comparison to last year.Scott Maslen, the tailor's dummy sexiest male, come off it Neil McDermott is far sexier than him.
The worst two characters ever are back too,Kat (turn your tv to mute before her screeching blows the speakers) and Alfie.Who can just waltz into Walford and flash the cash and buy a burned out pub,and i will bet they get it fixed up in just a few days (magic)
The only stars that deserved those awards were Lacey Turner (who's amazing performance as Stacey Branning) and Charlie Clements (Bradley) for his exit.
There are too many new faces in EastEnders now,not enough emphasis on the originals.Where is Jane Beale gone, presumably off to look for Terence,Pauline's dog that Dot inherited, and Ian's dog Chips. Is there a dog snatcher in Albert square because you never see any animals now (not realistic)
I used to love EE,but the stories are becoming too bizarre for words,eg Kat getting hoisted up in a caravan. Please get rid of the TWO of them because they spoil EastEnders.
Other rival soaps have far better stories, yet they get little or no accolade for it.Pat and Peggy were at least a great double act.No wonder cast members are leaving.

Glad to see Ricky Norwood won best newcomer, he really has been superb since joining the show. And as for Syed and Amira's wedding, well, that has to be one of the most spectacular events in the history of all soap operas. Just brilliant!!

I feel that eastenders in the last two years has gone from strength to strengh and will countine to changelle with contriviousal storylines such as the gay romance to the priest lucas's muders and the padophila one with whitney Dean it had two years ago. it is entraning but it is also there to educate people about the social issues ordinary working people face in their eveyday life and i do think that billies recent death is quiet common as alot of kids and young people watch the show and i hope they will think more about drinking responability and not drinking so much as it can hav deadly effects on both u and Your friends and framily.
