When are people going to get it through their heads that Eastenders isn't just about Christian and Syed? Eastenders likes to focus on more interesting characters such as the Mitchells. A storyline based on Christian and Syed all the time would get boring.

Another square get together I see . I love when EastEnders does this it has a nice community feel like last week with the game of rounders. Bryan is doing a fantastic job up to now.

I think the story line between Christian and Syed is a good storyline bcuz it shows that you can be what you want regardless of culture and religon.. but hweva i also think people will get REALLY offended with it..

The only thing that looks good about next week is stacey and ryan.

Where is christian, syed and the masoods ???. They are the only good thing about eastenders and the only reason i still watch it. When those characters arn't in an episode i find myself fast forwarding on sky plus as all the other characters and storylines are sooooooo boring !!

WHy the hell is Janine kissing Stacey. Such a great character like Janine has gone to the dogs. And Chryed are sooo boring!

Christian and Syed seem to be the only characters we don't see much of in the programme. :( They'd be there for what.... 2 or 3 days, then we don't see them again for a whole 3 or 4 weeks later. Then it's another round of 2 or 3 days yet again. We see the Mitchells (for e.g.) more than we see them. :(



Also... the storyline doesn't always have to revolve around Christian and Syed. Personally I feel that if one of them were just mingling in the crowd somewhere with something to say, and the storyline not completely focused on them all the time, it would make me happy. But when it is.... it makes for a very refreshing approach to the storylines, which I always enjoy greatly.



COME ONE E.E. WRITERS! MAKE US CHRYED FANS HAPPY AND LET ONE OR BOTH OF THEM STICK THEIR NOSE IN ALBERT SQUARE FOR MORE THAN 2 OR 3 DAYS...

MAYBE EVERY 2 WEEKS. :)

WORST STORYLINE - Yet another week which revolves around sweaty old Phil Mitchell and his depressing family! Agree with the post which comments that the Mitchells are always in the show, whereas likeable, interesting characters like Christian, Syed and Tamwar come in briefly then are dropped again for weeks on end!! I really am not looking forward to seeing Phil lurching about high on Crack and it was terrible when he slapped his elderly mum round the face. This is not good viewing EE!!!



We need more Chryed, more Masoods, more Darren and Jodie, more Fatboy and less Mitchells PLEASE!

I see the shows with a 6 week delay in the U.S. So I am not that current.. I must say however, Phil plays the best drunk of any actor I have ever seen...The good part of the delay is that I see 4 30 min. shows on a Sunday night.... Cheers Y'all

I love Chryed and wish there was so much more of them in Eastenders! Its taken so long for them to be together and now there never in it.

I kind of think the Mitchells are getting old, there storylines are kind of rubbish at the moment and maybe EE should start to think about when they should maybe call it a day with them tbh:/

Look people love the CHRYED storyline because its romanticn, and its showing what happens in real life. It also shows that there is nothing wrong with being gay what ever religion you are. You cant help you are in the wrong body!. And i think the way EE have showen this with the CHRYED storyline, its fantastic! :)

i am really not happy with what phil is doing now a days. I used to love watching him, with his little jokes, being nice to people in the square, just making me happy! But now, he is angry at everyone, hurting people, and now taking drugs?! it makes me angry, couldn't you of chose another character to do this, phil is too good to do this :( Also i hope he doesn't go out with that ranie, and get back with shirley, ranie makes me physically sick.

i agree with ryley's comment. i prefer phil sober and trying to be nice. its more interesting than having him like this. however i cant wait for the end to see a change in phil. there must be a change otherwise there's no point to this.



also i hate rainie now too. she's only around for 3 weeks though so YAY im positive its not the end of phil & shirley. no way



i think chryed fans are selfish. they should be happy theyre together not moaning therye not onscreen. if phil & shirley were together properly id just be happy they were. of course i'd like to see them onscreen but i wouldnt be moaning about it as i know the show isnt only about them. i think chryed fans only watch it for them and are only bothering now incase theyre in it or theres something about them in an episode. its pathetic really. maybe if they werent so selfish they would have more now.



shirley is one of my favourite characters but shes just so unimportant to the show. i hope she's developed more with phil's drug s/l and its not all about him. she needs to be made important otherwise i fear linda will quit soon if shes not. EE has wasted her. if phil & shirley got back together there's no way they'd get the julia's theme like chryed did. chryed fans should count themselves bloody lucky

To Monalisa:- There is nothing wrong with wanting to see more of a character/characters that you find very entertaining and enjoyable to watch. We went months after April before Christian and Syed were in the show again and it's been at least two weeks AGAIN since they were in it. I don't think they get too much air time, I don't think they get enough!!!



I mean no offence, but they are a much loved duo and loads of fans up and down the country adore them. Their story is brilliantly entertaining for romance/angst/cliffhangers etc and lots of people genuinely miss them when they aren't on the show. Phil Mitchell is in it all the bloody time and his character has been done to death in my opinion! Think of the years and years of him we have had to endure compared to the short time Chryed have been in the show. It's the same old thing with him, drunkeness, violence and shouting. The storyline may change but it's always those three things. He is so predictable and boring. Chryed on the other hand are a breath of fresh air. Their story of forbidden love across religion and cultures was controversial and beautifully handled by the script writers. Sy's family still have loads of issues with the relationship and Syed himself is struggling to adapt to his new life as a gay man. This story has MILES in it yet, unlike Phil who has been in the show for years and years and his character just goes round in circles. And to answer another of your comments, I don't just watch the show for Chryed, there are loads of other characters and storylines i like. They just happen to be my favourite and i don't think that makes Chryed fans selfish at all!

ive waited over two years for phil & shirley to get together. even when they were he treated her like crap and i have to put up with "OH he used her he doesnt give a damn" and im still having to wait even longer. shirley has done nothing but love him and care and she ends up getting hurt. chryed hurt amira very badly and theyre allowed to be happy now.



i know phil is in it a lot but shirley barely is. she aint had her own storyline in months. she's only been in it cos shes been with phil.



i have my favourites but i get slated for wanting to see them so why cant chryed fans be the same?

Haha, janine looks like she loves stacey lol. Its not going to be the best week, I cant wait for ronnie and jacks wedding. Too many parts with phil, its always the same with him though.... drugs, alcohol, violence. But I cant wait for billy's scene with ryan

so you dont like them cos theyre old and ugly looking. how shallow. theyre good actors & good characters & have good chemistry when theyre being a proper couple (santer has ruined it but im hoping BK fixes it)



phil is a troubled man. after what stella did to him things were never gonna run smoothly with another woman he was serious about for a long time. his kids are more important to him than any woman ever will be. its actually more complicated than it looks. phil is supposed to love his mother but look what he's done to her.



what im trying to say is it doesnt matter if you like them or not. its the fact that there's been some people who've been waiting for over 2 years for phil & shirley to get together. chryed fans were only waiting over a year and now theyre properly together and a couple. i dont care if theyre not romantic enough or if its a better storyline. they've been in the show a lot longer aswell and phil is an iconic character. on digital spy forums the chryed fans only come into the threads to talk about chryed/masoods/beales anything related to chryed. they dont particularly like any other characters or are interested in them. there's a few that do but as there's so little who care about the show its hard to know who does and who doesnt and its the majority that matter here. also a lot of chryed fans only started watching cos of them. ive been watching the show since 1998 so i think its a little unfair that chryed fans get what they want even though most only watch it cos of them. they even got a bloody revealed programm on BB3. i wont get that or the julia's theme



just be happy chryed are together. i will be when my couple get together properly & i trust BK will fix it

the only differences between chryed/phil & shirley is that chryed is a muslim gay love story and that phil is an idiot and a drunk. chryed were on/off all the time

To Monalisa:- Look, it is ridiculous posting comments about which couple we think are the best/ deserve more air time etc!! The fact is, we are ALL entitled to like who we flippin well choose. It is a free country and if i want to state my preference for Christian and Syed as my favourite characters, that is my entitlement and no daft, homophobic comments about them being an "odd couple" will stop me!!



I take great offence at that remark as we live in a society where we are supposed to be accepting and tolerant of minority groups. Besides, a love story is a love story and it matters not what gender you are. I found their romance so bitter sweet and beautiful and I am NOT gay myself.





Also, you call Phil an "iconic" character. Iconic people are those we look up to and admire and try to emulate. If being drunk, drugged, beating your kids, hitting your elderly mother, making disasterous relationship choices, being an intimidating thug and a bully make you "iconic" in this country, then no wonder Britain is the laughing stock of Europe!!!!



You can say what you like about Chryed but those two guys are gentle and harmless and only want to do what is best for people. And before you go banging on about how awfully Syed treated Amira, he tried his hardest to make the marriage work and put aside all his natural inclinations for her sake. It nearly killed him and broke his heart to hurt his family. And Christian is just a complete honey with a heart of gold and he is so gifted and entertaining and a brilliant actor.



P.S You say you have been watching EE since the 90's. I have been watching it since the very first episode in the 80's so i think i am speaking from an enlightened viewpoint.



p.p.s The revealed programme on bbc3 FANTASTIC!! And because it is such a great story, they deserved it. The boys were amazing. Your attitude smacks of sour grapes i am afraid, no offence meant.

you are completly missing my point. i dont care who is best or who is more romantic or who we prefer. the fact is CHRYED ARE TOGETHER so you should be flipping happy about it and stop moaning theyre not in it or if they deserve more screentime etc



so what peggy does doesnt make her an iconic character either? it doesnt matter what they do its about how long they've been in it and what they've done. the mitchells are one of the most famous tv families. a lot more famous than the masoods will ever be!



phil has never touched drugs before in his life so if you've watched EE all your life you would know that!!!!! and you would also know why he is the way he is!

I want more Chryed and I want Amira to come back i miss her loads! Phil is going crazy what's happening? Poor Whitney Rock on Ryan you beat him up he deserves it lol

Monalisa:- Just because Chryed are now properly together, that DOES NOT mean that it is the end of their story! (lol) Syed's parents have a MASSIVE acceptance problem, the Muslim community still have issues with him and there is the small matter of his unborn baby who may or may not re appear in a few months time. Christian is an out and proud gay man, whereas Sy is struggling to come to terms with expressing his sexuality in public. There is so much more to explore in this story, it does not end here just because they are together.



If being a couple is the criteria for stopping a story line, then what about all the other couples in EE who have paired up and live together. Should they go out of it too?? Shirley and Phil have lived as a couple for quite a while now in the show. They have had ample time to realise their love for oneanother and have an exciting romantic ending to their story.It is up to the writers to decide what becomes of the characters.



I think Phil is just using Shirley and doesn't really love her. He was prepared to disappear to Portugal without her for goodness sake!!! She is just a babysitter to his kids and he uses her for a bit of company in the bedroom! Syed and Christian are SO IN LOVE and it is this chemistry which makes them so brilliant to watch.

so would you prefer if they shoved chryed down peoples knecks who dont like them and get so sick of them that they get to the point where noone cares except the chryed fans? you should be happy they are together. of course the storyline isnt over yet but im sure intime they will explore the rest of it! just give it time! it is not the "chryed show" it is eastenders. who have a wide range of different characters and storylines going on that need screentime. if you think phil is in it a lot well he's only in two eps this week. i hate the drug storyline



of course everyone else is going to have that view on phil & shirley. its because they dont care enough to look into it more in depth so they see what it looks like and not the bigger picture. you should actually be sympathizing iwth me as you had to wait ages for chryed to get together and ive had to wait even longer and im still waiting. they were not a proper couple when they were living together (oh and if your using your g/f you dont get jealous of a guy flirting with her. cafe scene when theyre talking to ben's bullies dad!!)

shirley is included in phils drug storyline so if that really was the end she wouldnt be. if BK wanted to end it completly and he's said he had big plans for shirley so he would have had her move on

This looks like a good week. I love the Brannings and the Mitchells, especially Ronnie, Roxy and Glenda.



I am glad we will see Jack struggling with his recovery and showing his frustration. It is about time we saw some of it. Many people go through this in real life and it is great that EE are doing a storyline like this. Max and Jack are great. I have really enjoyed all their scenes together. Hopefully we will see more of that.

I wish Penny would feature somehow in Jack’s storyline. Surely Jack would draw parallels between his struggle with the temporary disability and Penny who is stuck in a wheelchair for life.

screw bbc entertainment, came home from work - turned the telly on at 6.15 pm - week's first instalment of eastenders - but only ******* weakest link - now here in denmark there's no txt on bbc entertainment, so had go online, and they only changed the slot to 12 noon ..

Monalisa:- You only have to look on here to see how popular Chryed are! I am so pleased they are finally together but me and alot of others just want the exciting story to continue. I don't expect them to be on every night but i liked the comment someone else made a few days ago about giving them their own spin off series!!! Now wouldn't that be fun!



I DO sympathise with you about Shirley. I actually really like her character. She has stuck by Phil and his kids and he totally doesn't deserve someone as loyal and steadfast as her. My wish for her is that she meets someone who can love her as she deserves to be loved or that for once in his life, Phil will actually see sense and realise what a treasure she truly is. I think she should have custody of Ben and Louise and not those two head cases Phil and Lisa! Shirley is far more stable than the two of them put together. I hope BK has something good in the pipeline for the lovely Shirley and that she gets a bit of happiness at long last

Yesterday's Episode was brilliant. I think this is the beggining of the end for the Mitchell's. Sam's in Prison, Grant's in Portugal, Louise is with Lisa, Ben's in Juve. Phil's on Crack, Peggy's depressed and evil, Roxy is getting rid of the pub. and Ronnie's no longer gunna be a Mitchell. She'll be a Branning.



Ryan is going to leave Janine soon and become Stacey's Reason for leaving as we know Lacey is leaving due to the papers. I personally can't wait till Alfie Returns :D

The Stacey and Janine kiss wasn't as big as I thought it would be and Stacey didn't act as angry as I thought she would.



I felt that the Phil and Rainie storyline wasn't suitable for the 8:00pm timslot.



Whitney deserves someone better than Billie if he is just going to dump her like that. Shame on him.



I love EastEnders!!

I love Eastenders, but i don't think it is right they phil and Rainie are taking drugs, drinking and smoking, young children watch eastenders and that is not the right thing to do when people/children are watching it.

i dont think that ryan likes janine beacause of his face when she cam down the stairs and started talking about the dares on the peir.

yeah whitney does deserve someone better than billie. i agree with ParadiseCafeFan that the story line wasent good for 8:00pm it should of been a later episode so the little children can't watch it cause thats just not a right attitude to be showing on them.

I couldn't agree more DanielleTaylor97. I think the show hit an all time low when it showed Phil smoking crack with that woman, getting off his face, then throwing whiskey at her and ending up having sex on the floor. I could NOT believe they would show this at a time when little children would be watching. It makes me sick that people on facebook especially complain about a gentle, fully clothed gay kiss between two sweet male characters who love eachother when DISGUSTING scenes like Phil high on crack are openly broadcast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It made me feel physically sick to see him lurching around, purple faced and totally out of it, demanding that the woman light another to give him his next "hit"! Uggghhhhh. Our kids are vulnerable enough to the menace of drugs these days without having to see how it's done on our fave t.v show!!!!!! Although, all credit to him, he acted that scene brilliantly.

It seems good this week, but monday and tuesday were a bit boring I thought it was going to be better than that but i hope thursday and friday are good cant wait for the whitney and billie bit but i hope they stay together!

i feel really sorry for Phil nothing at the moment seems to be going right for him i think it would be a good idea to bring back Grant to help him get through this difficult time and get him off the drink & drugs

I feel sorry for Phil, because he's lost his kids who mean the world to him and now he's back on drink and started taking drugs. He's been mean to Ben because he thinks Ben needs to toughen up and Louise is like his little princess. He looked so happy when he found out about Louise. It was really Peggy's fault that Phil's on mental breakdown because she gave Louise to her mum. Ben will be coming out of prison soon and Phil needs to sort himself out before he loses Ben too. He needs to stop and think about what he is doing and then say no to tayna's sister and kick her out because she's really mean about Ben and Louise, the way she talks about them to Phil. The way he acted when he realised the drugs were missing, he wrecked the living room with the bin rubbish so it stunk and then wrecked the living room sofa! He needs to get sorted out.

I would just like to comment that I am embarrassed by the potrayal of a military soldier by the character billie. He turned up with his uniform un pressed and scruffy his shirt open, baggy trousers he looked more gangster rapper than trained soldier. If eastenders is goin to be credible then it should show the aspects correctly, the soldiers in the recruiting office where better. Billie should have a hair cut and be dressed smartly, also it is not advised for soldiers to travel in uniform when on leave, he also has a flash on his arm which identifies him as royal artillery, they are a proud regiment with a long and proud heritage, they will not be impressed that they are represented by such a scruffy unkempt individual as billie, please sort this out.

It is a bold move to show phil taking drugs, especially on a high profile show and before the water shed, But I think its good, we need to stop being so over protective and molecaudling of our children, these things are out there, and its a big bad old world! if we can show children the effects this has on you and how it can break down even a big strong man like phil then how bad could it ruin them, A bit of reality from a show that got a little far fetched for a while.

although i think eastenders is great and always tackles sensitive issues, i have to say that the episode of billy coming home in his army uniform was silly , i have never seen a flash that big, i have never seen a squaddie looking that incorrectly dressed and never with his 95 shirt open like that walking round like it is his tee shirt and u just knew that uniform was str8 out of the wrappin at least it could have been ironed, yes u got i am married to a squaddie so i am bound to be critical

to marg, absolutely agree with you, doesnt show us guys in a good light, the flash is actually a royal artillery flash but its obviously never seen an assault course its so shiney its unreal!

and nathan u r right i dont even think my hubbies were that shiny when they were new ,it was like when corrie did the joining the army the ginger one cant remember his name but he was the only one i have ever known to be in phase 1 and have had a full beard , i did laugh at that one and they told him in phase 1 he will be leavin there and goin str8 to afghan woteva happened to trade traing (also known to us as phase 2 training) have i missed something somewhere ?

Max shouldn't be teasing Jack like that hes in a wheel chair its not funny Max you deserve a whack your self not poor Jack you should be more supportive of your brother hes trying to walk for the most important day of his life.
