Roger don't be so homophobic. This relationship is an acurate portrayal of everyday life. I have enjoyed the drama and turmoil Syed has gone through trying to decide how to be true to his family, his religion and himself, and then realising it's not possible to do all three.

Roger, you obviously don't know what a huge problems Muslim homosexuals have to face when they come out. It is so good that Eastenders let people see what misery it brings to the person who is homosexual, their family, their faith. Maybe it is because my brother in law is a Muslim and yes married to my brother. He doesn't see his family anymore, can't go to mosque because everyone knows everyone.Last Friday he met someone he knew from before his marriage (he and my brother moved to another town) and this person cursed and spat him in the face. So if Eastenders can help to make people a bit more tolerant it is for a very good cause!!

Keep the storyline - loose one viewer.

I think it's brave of EastEnders to take on such a sensitive storyline and i think they have done a brilliant job! ♥

Personally I think the Christian and Syed storyline is the most romantic story Eastenders has ever done, didn't realise they had it in them! :-D

I don't care abot the gay kissing - no different to the straight kissing really. What bothers me is that on Monday Christian is topless, the Syed is topless, we see a bit of Jack's chest, then Ronnie lifts Jack's top up later on yet Ronnie gets out of bed wearing a dressing gown! Why can't we see the girls in their underwear when they're getting out of bed? It's not realistic for Ronnie to be in bed wearing her dressing gown. It seems that EE likes to titilate female/gay male viewers but the guys/lesbians don't get to see some realistic scenes with the hot females in their bras, not even for a second!

Come on Roger! Whats wrong with Christian and Syed kissing?! I notice your not complaining about Ronnie and Jack in the opening scenes and the kissing between them. Everyone has the right to express affection for someone they love! Christian and Syed have had a grand total of 4 kisses in the 15 months they've known each other, not exactly an earth shattering number. I say well done EE for showing this storyline!!

I am in no way homophobic or tryin to go against cryed but if soaps are meant to portray real life, how many people do yu actually no in the same situation as syed and christian altho I do rlly like the pair :)

Finally! Bianca and Ricky are back in the shows! Lucas needs to be sent down. He's a very bad man. Of course Libs will feel down, lost Mum and Dad, and broke up with BF!

I think the story line with everyone not believing ronnie is disgusting! I think it offsensive for those who may have lived through this! It cannot actually be seen by the outside world and acusations should be taken seriously not dismissed!

An upcoming storyline involves Pat moving out and in with Peggy, leaving Bianca, Ricky and the kids to stay. It annoys me as the house....is Pats!!

I agree that Ronnie not being believed is terrible! But think Roxy does come round....

How comes there's not been a knock on the door by the boys in blue to say Denise was strangled. Is the coroner on vacation along with the plods of the square? Give us a break - this Lucus storyline has been dragging on far too long.

Of course we should see kissing between Christian and Syed. IF EE are going to explore a gay love story, how ridiculous to never show them in an affectionate or loving embrace!! This is REAL life. Gay people DO have romantic and sexual relationships and they have a right to be represented, just as hetrosexual couples do. I personally think this beautiful love story has been handled very sensitively. The two characters involved are likeable and charming in their own different ways. I am a hetrosexual but i find absolutely NOTHING offensive in seeing these men sharing a loving and tender kiss. It is perfectly normal and very sweet.We straight people do NOT have the monopoly on romance!! All sections of society have the right to be represented. So get over it all you homophobes out there! Long may beautiful men be passionate!

"no happy endings on Eastenders" - patently true, nevertheless the plot should conform to the facts as you choose to present them! Why then has permission been afforded to release Denise's body to her family when a rudimentary post-mortem would have revealed she did not drown.....?



Stretching the limits of credibility in a convoluted storyline is one thing but making it consistent with what has gone before should surely be inviolable

Anyone else noticed the appalling Eastenders Storeline regarding Denise's 'Death'?

We seem to be building up to a funeral... well, any first year pathology student would tell you the body would NOT be released for burial with so many un-answered questions.

Lucas killed Denise before she was thrown into the canal.. this would be obvious to the pathologist as her lungs would be empty of water. Lucas sent a Text message to Libby/Chelsea the morning AFTER he murdered Denise, again basic forensics... The Text Message was CLEARLY sent AFTER her death... hence Denise could NOT have sent it... hence someone else that she knew did send it !!!

All very basic stuff for sript writers... Either Eastenders is trying to portray some semblence of real life or it is a fictional comedy... Which is it?????????????

The cops may have done a PM but because it ISNT denise but another prostitute there is no strangle marks, just where she has been drowned (By lucas of corse).

However, surely the police could identify the corpse as they questioned her alive only days b4 her 'death'. They cant use the excuse she had decayed as she coudnt have been in the water long enough

Why no Chryed next week????? We have waited so long for their happy ending and this storyline and you give us a week of action then another gap!!! It is really frustrating. Personally, I think the Lucas saga has been done to death. What is so good about the current Chryed storyline, is that it is a bit of pleasant, romantic and exciting light relief among several storylines which are terminally depressing! EE needs more brilliant scenes like the ones we had in Christian's flat yesterday, seeing those two gorgeous guys just being happy and together and making us all feel warm and fluffy!!!

This week looks good like all the other weeks.

damn - where's Glenda. I love her reactions whenever Peggy say's something. The rolling of the eyes is brill. And the actress that plays her is incredible as we saw on tuesday, It was heartbreaking when she said she couldn't remember this happening "I don't remember any of this" she sobbed and yet she still stood by her daughter. She is sneaky but I love it. She is now my fav character in EE. :D

To Shang hi Red - We have to force the issue otherwise it will continue to be this way - in a hundred years time(maybe more) these prejudices could be gone. Issues have to be pushed otherwise things which are wrong like this will continue. If not for issues being pressed upon and in some ways forced black people would still be sitting at the back of the bus. It is just simply not right.

If I had seen this happen to my sister I would be devastated for her but I would NOT blame the man in which her husband was sleeping with as being gay is NOT a choice, it is something you are born with. I would just be angry that he played my sister for a fool all this time and if it was my sister's best friend then I guess I would be even more upset and would not talk to him but I wouldn't wish the man to be beaten up...NEVER!!

If the man then proceded to walk into the mosque I would be motrified but once again I would not wish him 'a kicking' as he was only trying to understand his boyfriend's faith. I have a lesbian friend and her best friend is a straight girl. My lesbian friend told me that whenever they watch something with two women kissing her straight friend says "ew" and I asked her if that's offensive to her but she said "no" because as far as she is concerned, the girl just doesn't like watching women kissing, just as she doesn't particularly like seeing a straight couple kissing. Her best friend is still her best friend even if she feels uncomfortable seeing two women kissing.

Shang hi red - I agree with your points 1 and 2 but violence is not the answer and violence is actually against Islam (even if people don't realise this due to terrorism).

I do not agree that we should let Islam should be allowed to reject gay people as what kind of world does that mean we live in? These views HAVE to be challenged and they must see why it is wrong.

my sister got married 10 yrs ago, she then found out her husband was gay, we are a muslim family , no one gave him a 'kicking' , they just broke up and got divorced -violence does not solve anything , 5 yrs ago she got married again and has moved on and is happy

I don't think Denise is dead.. I think he has got her in a room someplace like he had that other girl who he brought to Jesus.... I think he mis-indentified the body as Denise when it was someone else he killed.. maybe it was the other girl.. and if he says she threw herself into the canal.. well wouldn't she not have marks on her neck.. like the detectives said she did.. they obviously don't think she commited suicide.. I am getting tired of it all.. they need to wrap up this storeyline real quick as it is getting tiresome..

Lucus picked up a prostitute (who looked like denise) before he and Denise has a massive bust up - the night he forced himself on her.

You don't see what happends with the prostitute but i'm guessing she was the one they fished out of the river!

I knew it from the moment that Lucas identified Denise' body but we never got to see it. So it is the prostitute who was wearing the cross on a necklace a few weeks ago, or maybe he tried to get two birds with one stone and planted Denise' phone on the body of the Ex-wife he killed and threw her into the canal this way no-one will ever discover he killed his ex unless they dig up the body and run DNA tests.

Omg! Denis is alive! I must say that i really didn't see that coming but when you think back there are a lot of clues, i mean they never showed a body? I can't think of anything bad enough to happen to Lucas to make up for all the evil things he has done/is doing. But please let it all come out soon! I can't take much more. If it was the other way round then girls would say it's not fair and is not equal and some guys would support them but they would not say 'I hate to admit it.' Seems a silly attitude that a girl would hate to admit when something is unequal for boys.



Straight people are saying why not show gays kissing when you show Ronnie and Jack kissing. You don't have to be gay to make a point about gay people and you shouldn't have to be male to make a point about males (you shouldn't have to be female to make a point about females).

To Ofcourse - I was joking don't take it so literally! It was a 'light comment' in a torrent of heavier ones. I actually thought the same as you did in the opening scenes when Ronnie was wearing a dressing gown in bed, (hardly realistic), especially when later scenes show half naked man emerging from the bathroom....

As for making points about other people, anyone can make any observations they like as long as they understand there maybe 'comeback' on them, e.g. me and my 'hate to admit' comment....

To Richard - thank you! I'm a nurse and have helped clean up some of these 'situations', I see the damage done and thats why I 'went off on one' if I'm honest! But it was great to find another like minded person out there!

Cannot agree with the comments that criticise the Chryed storyline. It is the most beautifully written love story in the entire history of EE and i for one am loving it!(am not gay by the way).

It really makes me mad that people get on their soap boxes about a couple of gentle, non sexual and loving kisses between two gorgeous, fully clothed men, when Libby and Chelsea's auntie comes on screen in low cut tops that leave nothing to the imagination, with her boobs hanging out all over the place! The hypocracy of it all!! And how come it's ok to see the likes of Darren pull his boxer shorts down in front of a girl and stand there butt naked??? If Christian did that in front of Syed, there'd be a public outcry!!! Double standards or what!

P.S alot of people will just tune out for the next few weeks until Chryed return. The show is dull, humourless and lacking in romance without them.

Personally i would have stopped watching EE ages ago if it wasnt for the Christian and Syed story, I love them together and would love to see the story go futher! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if you dont like it then thats up to you but why should it be axed when other people obviously like it. A kiss is a kiss doesnt matter if its a man&woman, two men or two women. Alot of people would say seeing a man and woman kiss on t.v is disturbing, but theres plenty of that happening on t.v so why should it be different for gay characters?

Thursday's episode looks set to be incredible as Denise comes face to face with her family and Lucas look's set to be caught :O

I think that the whole Syed and Christian thing is affecting Muslims. And they should stop it. This is because, hes not a Muslim and he touched the Quran and second of all did you see how he slammed it shut. Last but not least it just brings a shame to Muslims. Its like disgracing us.

Why is it that PHIL is now being portrayed as a week loser yet when him minty and grant etc entered the show they were a force to be reckoned as gangsters and business men and hard men yet a few years on the script writers have forgotten their pedigree you do not go from being a hard man to a whimp in real life once a hard man or gangster always a hard man/gangster you don't just lose it...the connections etc....so why on eastenders? they should stick to the original profile it was much more exciting then...
