I'm on Syed's AND Christian's team, sorry I couldn't choose, yes it seems bad what Syed did, but let's not forget that he wouldn't've married Amira if it hadn't've been for Zainab! He truly loves Christian and is to afraid to break out of an unhappy situation!

I'm on Team Christian and Team Syed. They are the real, true couple here. I feel sorry for Amira, none of this is fair on her but Christian and Syed are in love and meant to be together. It's not a love triangle. Amira can never have a "happy ending" with Syed, because He. Is. Gay. And he loves Christian ;)

I am Team Syed because he is the one in the middle and he should choose what his heart tells him. But a bit of me feels sorry for Amira because she told Syed when she kissed Danny and Syed should tell her about him and Christian :) I can't wait to see what happens !

I don't see the story as a 'love triangle'. Syed is gay and loves Christian. He loves Amira in a completely platonic way. Only his faith and family are keeping him away from Christian.

Somehow I do feel that in his own way, Syed does love Amira but not enough because of his other feelings for Christian. It must be difficult living in a community where homosexuality goes against everything because of your background and beliefs e.t.c. I think if Zainab wasn't around to keep her eagle eye on her son 24/7, then things might be a bit different and Christian and Syed might still be together. I guess I can hope, but as an avid watcher, I'll keep watching and see what happens.

They always make the storylines very interesting and entertaining anyway. :-)

Anyway,for the record again,I'm Team Christian AND Team Syed. I feel sorry for Amira, but this isn't a love triangle. Syed and Christian are in love and belong together but Syed is torn between his sexuality/love for Christian, and his religion/family/sense of duty. If he was free to come out and be with Christian, he would have chosen him without a doubt.

Syed married Amira because he felt it was the right thing to do and he believed he could make it work. He loves her as a friend, or like a sister, but his feelings for Amira can't be compared to his feelings for Christian, it's on a completely different level.

I am really BORED of the whole Syed Christian thing but if I had to choose it would be Christian

I'm Team Amira, simply because she has fallen victim to a classic case of infidelity regardless of the homosexual twist, and also because she is also being made a victim of the Massood family beliefs.

Zainab should never have made Syed marry her knowing that their marriage was doomed. Amira is a beautiful girl who could have made a very happy marriage with the right man, and now she will have to endure this terrible situation and fall out with her family before she can put it right. She may never get the chance again. In effect, the lot of them have ruined her life.

Syed did not have to propose to her, and could have used her fathers imprisonment as an excuse to break of the relationship ages ago, instead he draws her into the family, and into his mothers clutches where no exit became possible. Even now he is setting up home with her, and her money, knowing that he can never be a proper husband. Amira has been lied to from the start, and this isnt fair, she would have helped him if he had told her last year that he was gay, as she is a kind person, and would have helped him get off the hook with his family. What else could she have done when faced with that news? There was no need for all the drama, which is why the show needs to get this sorted asap before the audience get too bored with it.

...Im also team Amira because she has the most to lose in the end. Her good name, her fathers wrath etc, it's going to "kick off" if it all comes out, and, no doubt the women of the family will get all the blame. Christian is adorable, but lets face it, he will just carry on as normal, Syed will sort himself out and come out of it ok, but Amira will lose everything. Much has been made about family reputations, religion, and a lot was said about Amira keeping her virginity until she was married. Well all that has been taken away from her now, and so she will have a long battle ahead to get back to where she was a year ago, if she ever can. I hope they show this, rather than just presenting Syed and Christian as the victims and all the soppy scenes. I hope they show Amira dealing with the fall out from it, and explain what this will mean for her future and the impact of it all.

Team syed, because syed brought amira into the family because he thought he could get rid of being gay, but falling in love with christian made him realise his true feelings, and because of fear from being disowned from the family, community it is hard to come out in islam, but i do agree he should never married amira because not only is he unhappy he is making amira unhappy too in a loveless marriage.

Syed is so so hot, voted for him as sexist male on soap awards, hope he wins.

I am afraid I have a negative comment to make about this. As a devoted follower of the story of Syed and Christian, and fervently optmistic that this sensitive, beautiful and complex story will be handled with depth and insight, I am truly disappointed in the above 'Team' business. What is the BBC attempting to do? Portray a love triangle, between a man and his male and female lovers? Or, rather, to portray the tragic and unhappy story of a gay man struggling to come to terms with his homosexuality whilst struggling to find a way to live as a straight man with a wife. I had always assumed it was the latter, and yet, time and again, the storyline is portrayed as depicting a bi-sexual guy in a love triangle, a rather weak character who just cannot make up his mind. Sorry, this portrayal, these implications, detract from what is otherwise a wonderful tale. Ridiculous, comes to mind, even for fun. You do no service to the issues of being gay and being in the closet, viz Gareth Thomas. Was he in a 'love triangle'? Or was he a gay man, married, struggling to be a good husband. What message is EE giving others in Syed's situation, or people who want to understand it. Very disappointed in the Team idea. Please think it through.

I'm Team Amira but I don't think that she should be with Syed. I think it was terrible that Zainab emotionally blackmailed Syed into marrying Amira because sooner or later, Syed will tell Amira that he is gay and the longer he puts off telling her, the more heartbroken she is going to be. Personally, I think that Syed has done really well with trying to cope with what has happened. If only he could change but homosexuality is NOT a choice. Even so, he is a character with good intentions in the end because to some extent he does love Amira and he still went through with the wedding just for his family, faith and her.

So whatever happens, I hope that everyone gets what they want.

I think the Team idea is a good one because it gives us fans a chance to discuss who we are supporting. At the end of the day we all know that Syed loves Christian and Christian loves Syed. But he still loves Amira in a way. But not as strong as Christian. The team idea is no way a competition its just a way of us expressing how we feel for the different characters.

Unfortunately I am not able to watch the videos because they are not available in my area. I am from the netherlands.

I think honesty is the best policy. In this triangle Syed is the one who should be honest and come out of his closet and finally go for Christian.

Of course this isn't easy for Syed because of his religion. But then again can one be happy for the rest of his life living a lie? Pretending to be in love with a person while your not? And what if Amira and Syed get children? Someone who is living a lie is not a happy person and children will pick that up. Therefore I do not agree with Zainab who wanted this wedding to go through no matter what. And for what? For what other people might think? Is that more important than the happines of your own child?

I think all of you readers have already guessed that I am in favour for Syed divorcing Amira ( sorry Amira, but it is the best solution in the long run) and Marrying , yes a wedding, Christian!

I feel sorry for Amira, when she finds out Syed is Gay!!

Unfortunately Amira is the one who gets hurt. But the longer this situation goes on, the worse it gets. As a matter of fact there are right now three people hurting. Amira must be feeling that something isn't right. Only, she can't put her finger on it...yet.

And just imagine that Syed will keep up his marriedlife, will Amira be happy? Her intuition will certainly tell her that something ain't right. Remember that Syed wasn't exactly keen to consumate the marriage.

So it's best to come clean about this. And yes it is a pity that Amira is the one who gets hurt. But I think it's best to get hurt now than later when there are probably childeren involved.

The whole situation is doomed really. Syed and Christian are obviously meant to be but Zainab doesn't understand and i don't think will ever accept the fact that Syed is gay. So she forced him to marry Amira, a life of imprisionment. Zainab is only doing what she believes is right but she needs to accept that the marrige will never work! It can't work. I hope she eventually supports her son and accepts him as who he really is. Poor Amira is caught up in it all, it's not her fault but it's neither Syed's it's just the way it is and no matter what happends he will never change who he is and how he feels. I really can't wait until it all comes out, i hope Syed and Christian get together. They've waited long enough. (: Big credit to the Eastender's writers', fantastic storyline.

I think this whole storyline is ridiculous and boring!! The storyline is not progressing and i hate the way an asian family has been picked for this storyline. No asian family i know is homophobic and i hate the way that has been shown via zainab. Of course i know that this is just a soap but this storyline is incredibly tedious. I am a great fan of eastenders and have been watching it since the age of 8. However this storyline is ruining the eastenders excitement i want in the evenings.

Saba, the storyline has just been off screen for 6 weeks so it's not like it's taking over the show - there are other storyline's going on that should interest you if you don't like this one. Personally, this is the only storyline that's interesting me in the show at the moment so its return has been very much welcomed! I love it - there are so many complexities involved and it's so much more than just a run of the mill coming out story.



Also, I for one am glad they aren't sugar coating the story and that they are confronting homophobic attitudes head on. Zainab isn't homophobic because she's Asian - it's just part of who she is. But her homophobia is counter balanced by Amira, Masood and Tamwar - all Asian but not homophobic. Zainab isn't a representation of all Asian people, I think the viewers understand this!

I would have to say I'm on ... Team Christian. Hes inlove with Syed and seeing Syed suffer by doing what Zainab wants is breaking Christian inside. Syed really wants Christian but hes doing what his mother is telling him, if he choose not to, she would ruin him and leave Syed with just christian in his life. But to be honest I dont think everyone would hate Syed and Christian for this, I say once the truth comes out, It'll be better for everyone, Amira would come to terms with it but be heartbroken in the process, but its better than being with someone who wants to be with someone else and is interested in a different sexuality.

Looking forward for this story to unfold, so I can see everyones reactions to the pair.

I'm team christian because he's just an awesome character and he genuinely loves Sy.. but how dare syed have gotten angry at amira for continuing to take her pill when he is hiding this ENORMOUS secret... poor girl.. but he's cute so maybe i forgive him for being a hypocrite in that respect. It's a shame that Zainab can't accept who her son really is as it is preventing his happiness and her forcing the marriage is inevitably going to destroy Amira's happiness and rep.
