In this Big Stories event, chaired by BBC director of news Helen Boaden, you can hear about some of the key questions for politicians at Holyrood and Westminster as the debate on a referendum on Scottish independence continues.

Scotland's first minister, Alex Salmond, has announced plans to hold an independence referendum in autumn 2014. Mr Salmond's opponents say the delay is causing uncertainty for Scotland and its economy.

But there is still much to play for, according to Brian Taylor, BBC Scotland's political editor. Brian explores the issues around the timing of a referendum and the question - or questions - that may be put to the Scottish electorate:
