Intro to the Scrolls

Oh, the joy of a new post! (And the despair of having to wait for someone to post a link before I can watch the video...)

they are rewarding the bloggers with information! yay :)

Well...something to look forward to ..I'm sure that there will be many talented bloggers decoding the scrolls in no time at all! ....just not sure I want that to happen before the characters in the show do!

the posters behind LT: 'Fight or die', 'We are human' 2037 resistance posters?

Need to decipher the last trivial pursuit piece of the scroll. I'm not convinced that the 'future lady' is Eve, either. I think its a deliberate misdirection.....

Not sure that I want to decipher the scroll before the characters do?

This looks like it will be a fun game.



Each of the stories should be interesting. A way to decode the final piece using the other scrolls. should be possible.

RM....am thinking along the same lines as you re: future woman....at first I thought it was Eve but now am thinking that we are supposed to think she's Eve.



I'm also wondering now if that last scene was also supposed to make us think that she was going back to kill baby Eve for whatever reason....maybe the missing piece of the scroll is talking about anothe baby..and maybe that baby is the one being hunted.....



Ok...i conceed I'm rambling.....!

If I want mystery I watch sherlock, miss Marples etc, never mind Nipples on scrolls, we need some good olde humour and a bit of mindless violence.

5. Well, LT is a master of misdirection!

Still reeling from George's death, even though we knew he was going, BH certainly knows how to tug at the heartstrings. Gutted to lose both George and Nina but I think there was a lot of potential in this opener. The new characters seem interesting and Tom feels like he has always been there.

There was certainly a lot crammed into this episode, you could argue that there was too much, but with such a lot to do I thought the episode achieved everything it set out to pretty well!

OOOh exciting. Iam sure there are people who will manage to decipher that (coughEwancough) no problem. I really enjoyed this first episode it promised much for the new characters. George got what he wanted/needed to be with his beloved Nina.

I think OO gattiss skin was like that because he was hungry and needed to feed. Vamp version of dehydration.

So for any HIMYM fans, to quote Barney... "Challenge Accepted", I'm sure that the collective might of the Being Human blog will figure it out, although if S1-S3 are anything to go on, you can guarentee it won't be easy.

Looking at the symbols for the third piece of scroll in the video above, it seems that there is the symbol for "saviour" and the symbol for "baby". Except it is not "human baby". I wonder what type of baby it is?

Enjoyed the episode. Lots of potential there.



The business with the werewolf blood being poisonous to vampires was a bit off though. First we have heard of it over three series.



How did George know it was poisonous and about the vampires covering themselve as protection if her wasnt there.



Also what about when George was attacked by Seth and the others in season 1. Surely the vamps would have been worried about accidently ingesting some werewolf blood.



Maybe there is an explanation further on - if not - that's a bit "cob".



Also, surely the OO's would have come up with a cure or antidote - they have been around for thousands of years.



Ok - rant over. Enjoyed the episode, felt like it was ending as well as beginning.

2 negatives points about episode 1: nina killed off in a couple of sentences and the whole werewwold blood thing. I'll forgive the whole 2037 thing for now. But...



.. for an episode that had to tie up loose ends, introduce new characters, introduce new storylines AND kill off George, I thought it was handled pretty darn well.



It was dark and fast paced for a series opener but it will settle down. Really liked Cutler (gotta be Herricks'!) glad Griffin didn't last long. Tom's hints at the spare rooms was great.



I didn't cry at George's death, I really feel we should NEVER have found out until the screening. Why on earth it was put on twitter I don't know. Still, it was handled well in the circumstances.

Just had a rewatch, any one else notice future lady had 2 different bits of the scrolls compared to the ones that uncle regus did?

- adds a bit more mystery and confusion to the puzzle don't it?

also Griffin mumbled about the trinity (WW, G and Vamp living in a house) thinking about G, A & M; Could this be Hal, Leo and Pearl instead??

- Love pearl being a parallel Annie (refused to accept Leos dying and cluck round him like a mother hen " have you been picking your sores" , "its Sheperds Pie tomorrow" bless her.

- also Hals OCD could be more like G being the Tidyish one in PH.

Your response to daryl left me wondering whether perhaps the obvious has been missed. We now have both an Adam and an Eve within the BH cast; Adam and Eve, mythology, (albiet of the vampire scrolls type), it's ringing bells. Assuming the woman, (Eve?), from the future can travel back, then she doesn't have to travel back to current S4 time, perhaps Adam is of more significance than we'd realised.



Of course this bout of lucidity may well be meaningless, I've just got in from a 12 hour shift so I probably shouldn't have chosen this moment to wade in with my comments, (I've read the blogs since the first season but never actively participated). My apologies.

Perhaps future girl will go back and stop Geaorge & Nina ever having sex!!! Then we could live in a happier BH universe!

Been thinking about the whole poisonous WW blood thing, could it be that it's only poisonous while the WW's are transformed and not in their human state?



It's safe to say any Vampire with a modicum of sense knows they wouldn't stand a chance against a Werewolf. Hence why they only ever attack our friends when they're in human form.



I'm sure LT will have a perfectly reasonable explanation for it, failing that it's a plot device that has left a bit of a hole.

Looking at a different angle of the Rubik scrolls, If the 2 raised cupping hands are showing to the world the 'perfect' union between a dark-heart one and a human- white soul/pure is it heralding a child to come ...or as the symbol sits by the pregnant mysterious woman with the twins, is she protected by a being/supernatural? symbolized by the cupping hands. the Cup is a symbol of love in Tarot, white soul/dark heart, two entwined? Annie? and Mitchell...?

Anyhow, there is somewhere a woman who is pregnant or soon to be pregnant from I suspect a vampire. Adam and Eve may be the protectors of humanity against the Devil's twins?

Bearing in mind TW does not linke long-winded names but that Hal was alive in 1514 and that his mother was a 'whore' so being a man without a father. By the rules of the era which was all but Politically correct, he would have been called Hal the B..., or Hal Fatherless...Ohnevater(german for without father).

George / Tom / Annie assumed that Eve could see Annie because she, Eve, was supernatural. Isn't it thought that children's minds are much more open to the supernatural - you know the imaginery friend that is actually Casper the friendly ghost type of thing? So what I'm wondering is if baby Eve is supernatural at all?



Next, the scrolls and the *missing part*. When we get to see that part, the symbol is there for a child but this time it isn't a human child - it almost looks like a heart shape which has in some way been split. Maybe this is the child that the older Eve - if that is indeed who she is - is going back in time to kill?



Do we know that Wyndam is actually dead? I know Griffin said, and it was mentioned that the voice from New York declaring that the vampires were now in control might be Hal, but I thought it sounded a bit like Wyndam mmmmmmmm, maybe not.



Ignore last paragraph - Saint already told me on other blog that it isn't Wyndam :-)

ways of having a vampire impregnating a human- the pregnant shape seems human...seems

it is a triangle cut in two symmetrical halves with each portaining a dark cycle- dark heart of a vampire?

anyhow if the father is ...well, it could be ... why not

looking at old musty pre-printing books -written prior to Hal's birth..

we have the cupping hands , symbol of love.... we think and holding a full circle with a yin yang separation and one half again with the dark circle/heart- what if it was not a vampire but an half human/half vampire creature. you know that famous dhampir of past legends- no i am not making that up , people wrote about them before Bram Stoker, OK! Outwardly the creature looks human, like Eve looks human. but he is able to transmit the vampire gene -organically!

Who is the man , who is the mother- deed seems to have been done and she had twins and will have twin... unless the baby dhampir has just been born. We are looking for a second Adam!

Looking at the symbols - Vampire is looks a bit like either wings or a double head of an Axe either way two sides - the two brothers? Janus would be a good comparison.



God of beginnings and transitions gates, doors, doorways, endings and time Kind of fits for Vampires if you think about it.



Also because of the two faced image might be considered Devil like.

DARK HEART PEOPLE!!! DARK could also have been refered to in the past as the one with the "BLACKEST Heart"?? which could of explained why himself had such a reputation and was so important to the Vampires is there a bigger back story (or am I off on one of me tangents again??)

Also could future lady be coming back to kill baby Annie?? the one protecting the War Child after all a baby without protection is an easy target and Annie isn't just any ghost ??

Just thought I'd say I like the new character Cutter - is he going to be the new vampire leader I wonder. I though maybe he was made by Mitchell but perhaps it was someone higher up like Wyndam.



I had a few little niggles with the plot line, for instance the future bit is too much like Terminator to me, (you know "been there, done that" - Arnie already tried it). But I am looking forward to next week as I feel the series proper will really start then and any tiny worries I may have will all be resolved. Then I will be hooked all over again.

Regarding Eve not being a werewolf, could she be a 'different' supernatural or could Eve be a werewolf but she doesn't transform until puberty age. Could it be possible?

I dont think that the woman in 2037 IS Eve, eve would be old enough but I dont think that it will be her.

99. Yes, I looked at those and she was also in a stage production called "Chicken" !. I see her talents are flamenco and jazz dancing - now do I seem to remember something being mentioned a while back about a scene to do with flamenco dancing?....
