What can I say? Russell Tovey is the reason I started watching this show and the reason I am still watching it. I know most people on here prefer Aidan, but Russell's smile floors me every time, and he has the buffest bod this side of Twickenham. He is also one of the most talented actors I have ever seen on any programme, and thanks to him I now have a whole new outlook on werewolves (although, come to think of it, an outlook on werewolves wasn't something I had before BH).

Thanks Barry for giving us a Toveypost at last.

Hello BH bloggers! Thanks for the link to the podcast ewan. Never knew such a thing existed.



As I've said before I've never blogged for any other show ever. And may never again as I don't think I'll find such a great bunch of fellow fans. I did however check out the Merlin page on BBC and they're not nearly up to the standard of this blog.



It seems the entire BHP is staffed with lovely, intelligent and considerate people. How is that possible. All the interviews I've seen with anyone involved with the show make me think they're just good peoople with great jobs. No one seems "above it all" to me.



It is a far cry from the Mel Gibsons & Charlie Sheens of the world. I hope they stay awesom for always.

I am pretty confident that we will have a BH S4. However, there were ideas of creating a "space" for characters that are not/will not be around anymore, like a sort of family album (that is my interpretation of it) in the BH blog/website.



I can't help it, but I thought about Mitchell. Barry didn't say anything though.



42 minutes in (around): Barry was commenting upon how well BH S3 has done this year so it sounds as if there is great chance of S4 (hopeful)



43 minutes in however, he made his comment on the family album sort of thing dedicated to the faithful departed, and my heart skipped a beat.

28 - Oh that comment I remember now, What I think was referred to is Lucy, Tully, Ivan and co. not Mitchell. not yet anyway. I think that for Mitchell they might mean a smaller role in the new season if there's a smaller gap in the shooting schedule. I'll have to wait till I can listen again.

29 Interesting. BH with a minor role for Mitchell will feel odd but better than nothing I suppose. How will they tie this up with Annie's story arc I don't know.



I hope and pray that each character's story arc will have proper closure and a decent ending. And if the ending is hopeful, even better.



Something that Barry said in the interview (Nina made the same comment in the series) is that there is some darkness in Mitchell, so the vampirism just "highlights" the dark features that were already there. I agree that he is deep inside a complicated sort of bloke, very Jim Morrison and all.



But, in all honesty: Have you EVER seen a happy vampire? hand on heart? ;-) I guess not, it defies the purpose of the whole thing, right?

I am a big fan of the show and have enjoyed George’s use of his Jewishness to combat Vampires. We finally meet his family and there is a Christian minister performing his Dad's funeral?!? Just think of how much cooler you can make this episode with an old wise Rabbi talking Jewish mysticism with George? Think Jackie Mason. He could even have given George some ancient prayer or device of protection, beyond his star of David necklace. I concede that it is possible that only George's mother is Jewish or that he may have even converted himself, but the writers owe us an explanation. Where was the Rabbi and someone saying the kaddish prayer?

30 - Happy vampires? Now that would be very creepy. The least you can expect from a habitual killer is the occasional dark mood. Plus I rather like M when he is in on of those moods.



I would like to know more about Mitchell before he bacame what he is. Like mosquitoinuk I guess he was not the easiest guy to figure out. On the other hand he is certainly capable of love, friendship and compassion. I always think how unlikely it would have bee for M and G to become friends in a normal life.

It's nice to know that actors were geeks too, haha! :P

I cannot believe that my obsession with Being Human only started just a few weeks ago - but now I've bought and watched both first and second series and now (almost) caught up with everything and everyone here on the blogs. I find it so hard to wait a week for each episode so it's wonderful videos like this one during the week that keep me almost sane.

I can't bear the thought of there not being a fourth series! It's absolutely tremendous, all the cast are wonderful, and I can't wait to see what will happen in the next two weeks (with fear and trepidation that something awful might happen to the delectable Mitchell)!



This is the best blog I've ever encountered and the bloggers are excellent and informative for a BH newbie trying to catch up!!!

The logics of ghost rules baffle me, honest. I can't quite understand Annie's "yes, she's a ghost but she isn't". I sort of like a theory that she's more than a ghost (even Tolli said so, that he'd never seen a ghost like her). Strange. A fellow blogger proposed the theory that Annie was more an "angel" of sorts, which is definitely, infinitely cooler than a ghost a much more powerful, of course. I'd like that but I don't know how likely it is.

Make sense , a nice not messed up man would be raised by nice parents. So what is the dad is a bit of a geek and mom wishes for a more dashing partner, yet plods on near her faithful if missing the hints partner.

T reaction at his father using the word lover is spot on- any detail which may come our way about our parents sexual life leaves us very unsettled- we see them as a sex-less unit because it is a unit- they are one- not 2 people in some way. We know things happen behind closed doors, but those doors are closed to us and it is fine by us.

Tovey is a very very fine actor and deserves praise indeed.

Loved meet the sands part, and must say feels distinctly worried as they go to Cornwall, werewolf county! If 2 people do not deserve to die, it is them , G/N baby deserves to meet his grandparents and put his/her little hairy paw in his granp and walk about learning all about pluto bluto and popeye! Now that we know all about G parents, I am wondering when shall we meet the mother from Hell aka Nina ma???

@ewan wow you're a star, I haven't posted on here alot but I recognized your name when i listened to the podcast this morning. Great idea too, well deserved mention.



And to everyone on these blogs, you're all lovely to talk to and very welcoming. The knowledge you guys have on this show, and some brilliant ideas on the stories is so impressive!

All seems fitting to go with a great show along with an awesome cast and crew.

OK, I'm a first-time post-er and I didn't really know where to comment but I've recently become utterly obsessed with Being Human, Becoming Human and this website so I thought I'd spill a few ideas to see what people think!

1) My predictions for the end of series 3

a) George and Annie are going to find out about the BOX tunnel 20 - obviously.

b) Nina isn't going to be the one who kills Mitchell - they're trying to suggest she will but it's too obvious and I think it will be George because Mitchell's tried to tell Annie before but never George.

c) He's not going to die (or at least not going to go over to the other side) because they've left it so a fourth series can exist and that won't work without Mitchell.

d) Instead !!! He will become a ghost!!! because they can't eat or drink so the blood lust will be gone! Hehe! And that way him and Annie can be together properly! And he will stop going on benders like the train one!

- with regards to this theory I know we've never seen a door for a vampire (Graham or Lauren or Herrick's side-kick) but we also never saw Lucy?'s (Mitchell's date who was killed by Lauren), the guy in the DVD who Lauren killed's or Lia's or a lot of other people like Josie's so they could make the excuse that sometimes doors appear later on, after everyone has left.

There are a lot of continuity errors in the Being Human world such as Sasha's ghost being clean of scars but the werewolf in the chamber (series 2)'s ghost being all melted. But I think these are really good oportunities for the writers to create new story lines like Mitchell being a ghost!

Also, he's been to purgatory and has been told he's coming back so that makes it all the more possible for him to be a ghost.

- side note How pregnant is Nina? Do werewolf pregnancies last 9 months? Maybe Nina will give birth in the last episode???

That would also leave it open for a storyline in years to come where the 'fate' thing Lia warned him of is that the baby kills him!

Sorry I talk too much but what do people think?

I haven't even started on Becoming Human - though it's obvious it was Roe!

This is the first time I've posted on the blog although have been following everyones thoughts all this series and loving the fact I'm not alone in my BH obsession!

Have been watching since the pilot but this series has just got to be the best so far the pack and the longest day blew me away. Best telly ever?!?

Can't wait for Sunday - counting the days and it sounds like its going to be a full moon - sooo excited.

kippers_P good point about purgatory, she did say he'd be back. Maybe there's a way for Annie or George to get him back. As for him being a ghost, I don't know how that works for vampires (the soul thing etc) and especially with Mitchell being genuinely guilty over what he's done, would that mean not going to hell?

Sure someone on here knows more about vampire 'rules'.

Kippers_P - I'd wondered for a while about what happens with vampires too as I'm pretty sure if they have been staked in BH then all we see is ash (or strangley in the case of Lauren I think all the main cast looked up at her ashes floating upwards but the camera doesn't show us what they see.) So do vampires get a door? Maybe they can't as already dead. Or does it depend on if they are staked or meet their final end some other way - like Ivan.

Can they become ghosts? I'm also not clued up on the vampire rule book but I guess part of the BH fun seems to be subverting the rules.

82- that's what assumed, although I've never understood why vampires would have blood and be able to (try) and feed another vampire. Sure there's a similar thing done in one of the underworld films?

Oh dear-- I'd popped in clippy readiness too.... Oh well. Been delving around on other sites and got a few meaningful snippets. Some where you least expect them till it all goes 'AHA! '

I've been thinking more about the prospect of expansion to the BH universe...



* Perhaps instead of another set of 3 written novels, we could have graphic novels? A bit like the Scott Pilgrim books, in which they continue sequentially but with an overall arc? (much like the BH novels themselves, actually).



* I'm not sure a role-playing-type game would work (unless it was like the online Torchwood game from a few years ago); however a series of mini games might. For example, how many cups of tea can Annie make in 2 minutes (or something a bit less cheesy, but you get the general idea!)

I also quite like the idea of a trailer-maker like the one on the Doctor Who site; I'm not ashamed to admit that it provides hours of entertainment ;)



* Maybe a section could be added to the website where fans can share their BH fan art and fan fiction? I know there are external websites that people post on, but this could be a way to keep them all together?

Hi everyone! Really loving reading all your great comments, certainly helps with my insomnia! Thanks to the BH team, for the amazing episodes and for keep us all busy trying to guess your next move.

Forgive me if anyone has already mentioned this but... In the still from next sundays episode, there is a werewolf transforming in the attic! The body is clean of tatoos - so not McNair - could this be the 'Is Herrick a Werewolf?" question answered. Also, in various interviews there has been reference to 5 werewolves in the kitchen?

Also, on the subject of 'heirs', if Herrick says the old ones only recruit once, does it mean that as Hettie recruited him he is her heir. Could she be the old one we are all expecting? This would also mean that she holds the secret too, as she would have told Herrick?

Another rambler I'm afraid, I think we're all going slowly mad...but in a nice way obviously!

Yes, I did wonder if Herrick was Hetty's heir. And I'm sure somewhere someone (Lord T?) said that we'd see an old one this series.

92-OMG Daisy-the-tourist! I didn't notice the lack of tats! I just presumed it was McNair as I thought it looked like him. It doesn't look like George either...now me curiousit is piqued.

The idea of "Herrick's heir is really intriguing me. I really want to know is it Mitchell? Mitchell being a "dark angel" would be fantastic,(I've always thought that Annie is an angel, she's just too different than the other ghosts). Although, when Mitchell question H about what he has planned regarding said heir, I don't think Herrick did choose him because (in the flashback he tells Mitchell, "it doesn't matter anymore"). Maybe Herrick just couldn't trust Mitchell not to be selfish or rebellious and ultimately good. Herrick also says that the heir can resurrect his maker and do so much more...I want to find out this mystery almost as much as the ominous "WSB". Anybody else have a "take" on this?

Ewan - Thanks so much for the podcast. That was amazing! Although I was a little red faced about some of my comments about AT/Mitchell after realizing that someone other than us actually reads them!
