OMG i have no idea if that was a good episode or not, because my freeview signal was sooo bad, it even completely cut out at one point! I'll have to watch it again tonight to get the gist of it.

UGH!! so disappointing.

Just a thought: This week we have almost 2 disconnected stories? and Mitchell was loosing his mind last week but this week he's much more composed? is it me or it felt a bit off?

Wondering if Annies unfinished business is learning how to not be quite so aspergers and spot men in shifty, lying boyfriend mode. To be fair to her, it took me a couple of decades..

@5 - My Freeview signal vanished before the episode had even started.

I had a panic attack, and ended up streaming it online.

I think I'm due a re-watch as well.

11.- Agreed. It felt off to me. They had us all week waiting...and it was (for me) very anti-climatic. How will they resolve all this stuff in 2 episodes???

I quite enjoyed tonight - more of a contrast between the ongoing story and the one off stuff. Herrick is creeeeeepy - how good is Jason Watkins! Annie is brilliant - wonder how long it'll take for the penny to drop now? Was good to see relaxed Mitchell early on in the episode but the contrast was quite marked when he was in the attic.

Carrying on from earlier - he looked all right clean shaven and smart - best flashback hair yet!

Loved James Fleet as George Sr - what brilliant casting!

Did George's mum remind anyone else of Molly's mum? I can't remember her name!

First up....thanks BHProductions for another fun and informative behind the scenes vid....looks like that barbie was fun even in the rain!



Episode 6....a combination of raw and moving emotions throughout. A very different episode from previous ones....but I did enjoy it



And we thought that it was Nina pushing the Box Tunnel buttons...but no, Annie is managing that all on her own.....the crash is going to be huge when she realises that not only is Mitchell guilty but that she has led the police to him.



Mitchell particularly dark in this episode....and I honestly thought Herrick was going for her throat.



Could George's dad ( loved James Fleet's performance!) really 'see' him as a werewolf and how was that possible?

It was a bit anti-climatic but I think that maybe they are setting us up for future stories (introducing George's parents etc, what next, his ex-fiancee?)



Did Mitchell give a fake surname for Daisy to the policeman?

was concerned when discussing james fleet last week that people didnt imediately think 4 weddings and a funeral...thought was just showing my age!

I felt like screaming "no Annie you idiot!"..but if Mitchell had burnt that damn folder in the first place, or (dare I say)... actually told Annie then he wouldn't have this problem!



Sorry, rant over. Other than that I enjoyed this episode, especially the scenes with George and his father.

George and Nina both see being a werewolf as a 'manageable' condition they try to ignore these extra senses.



Now comes the reason they were in his caravan would have assumed his scent was from the fact he lived there not him.

29. George seems not to be able to distinguish between ghosts/human. S01 ep. 1, he thought Annie was a squatter or something, but true, by now they should know better.



It didn't make too much sense all the first interactions between George and George Snr, viewed retrospectively. So, George Snr was cool as a cucumber with George telling him that he was a ghost (when he clearly knew he wasn't) or is it that George Snr thought George was a bit...loopy???

Oh dear, I really do feel disappointed. After 3 fabulous episodes full of intrigue, tonight let me down in the same way that episode 2 did. The producers could have done so much more with George's reunion with his parents than a re-run of 'Parent Trap'. How much better if George had actually been able to confide in his father and be truly understood?



Annie - bless her - deserves so much better than being cast as such a ditz. After last week's episode when she seemed right back on form, I could only cringe at her actions this week.



Let's hope that having Lord Toby back in charge next week will bring some continuity back into the proceedings.

I cant believe Annie is going to get Michell caught and i was kind of disappointed withe the two separate story lines because there wasn't much interaction between Mitchell, George and Annie together witch is what i think makes the show so much better.



Also i felt Herrick was rather left out of tonights episode after last weeks being all about his return. At times i would actually forget he was there until it showed the outside of the attic and i would be like "oh yeah...hey Herrick"

35. Fitzov. Couldn't agree more. There is a chasm between this episode and the previous one(s).

I'm disturbed by how much Mitchell looked like Timothy Dalton in the flashback. Yeek!

George and George Snr - they are so great together. And loved creepy Herrick.



Last episode was so dark it was a relief to have some light moments - Annie quoting Cheryl Cole loooooollllll!!!!

Funny: When the policewoman said that somebody could have something against Mitchell's hair. Do you think it was a little nod towards the hardcore fans and our discussions?

Another fantastic episode....Annie - what are you doing???? She thinks she's helping Mitchell, when she's doing the complete opposite! But then if Mitchell hadn't kept that book...none of this would've happened!



Not quite believing that George couldn't tell whether or not his dad was a ghost...surely he can tell??? I did think James Fleet was a great choice to play George's Dad....and the fleece...just like George.



Once again, Herrick was wonderfully terrifying.



I need a re-watch...now!

I feel a quite letdown by this weeks episode. The Longerst Day was a stunning piece of tv and i thought it was the one that kicked a patchy series into gear.



Tonight, just as the momentum of plotlines and theories build to the series end we get a show that has what is essentially an unconnected (and weak) background story taking up forty minutes and.. oh by the way: the police are onto Mitchell. And Herrick? Whose Herrick? And Annie helping the police? As i twist i get it but she's not stupid and this series has made her stupid. The whole Mitchell being questioned & Herrick knowing he needs blood but resisting was underplayed.



I'm not a hater. I LOVE this show. Perhaps i had too many high hopes for tonight.

Best line: 'And finally, finally i feel complete, i feel happy...i'm not ready for this to end, i am not ready to leave her...!'





George Sr having just finished watching Titanic: 'well couldn't she have moved over a bit? That piece of wood she was floating on was massive!'

Oh I have to say this "Tomb service" - episode 5 season one Herrick telling stories of Mitchell's past - so the well bitten body on the table has been a vampire for at least 77 years. - don't know if she was blown up or not

Ha ha was everyone glad to see the legendary "Tomb service!" moment? I know I was. Got to go and check series 1 DVDs later to make sure the story matches up.



Loved George and his dad, especially the moment when they both subconciously put their arms behind their head. I catch myself doing stuff like that all the time with my dad, sitting in the same way, both folding our arms etc. Wonderfully observed.



Trying to place the detective woman, I think she has been in Doctor Who or something, anyone recognise her?



Ohhhh and Mitchell, when will you learn to dispose of evidence properly? The fool!

Lovely performance from Russell tonight and a beautifully judged one from James Fleet.

But - this is my first-ever criticism of Being Human - the policewoman (Nancy) has got one of those Trans-Atlantic croaky shrill voices (rather like an ET voice) which so many actresses have adopted these days. Is it a fashion? It annoys me intensely. I think it sounds horrible.

Apart from that it was snashing. The sooner Nancy goes (and takes her hideous voice with her) the better.)

Herrick still seems to be fighting his vampire nature interesting came very close to ripping Nancy's throat out. Have to say did love the bloody tissues bit. it was a nom nom nom moment

euuuggggghhhhhhh- a bit of a clunky episode this week- bits I didnt think that worked-

1. George senior and wife suddenly getting back together not great writing there, chaps and chapesses

2. The detective character- unbelievable and nowhere near the high calibre of actor we have come to trust BH in.

Reminded me of a combination of Queeny from Blackadder and some forgettable am-dram.



however- outstanding bit HERRICK through the ribbed bathroom glass door- fractured soul metaphor, anyone?



OOOh,OOOOh and did anyone else spot poor acted detective's boss as Le Moustache vampire servant from the flashback? I did.

Mitchell is still the uber coward - he had his chance to tell Annie! God damn it, why didn't he??!!!

First, 30s PREQUEL! YESSSSSSSSSSS! BHP you know that I love you!

Then, I was frankly so on the edge of my seat I thought I'd fall off.

In the bathroom scene I was literally hyperventilating and almost hiding behind my own fingers.



Herrick proved to be THE villain. I'll never get tired of saying how awesome a character he is, and how brilliant JAson Watkins' interpretation is. He is the ultimate vampire, instintivley and consciously evil, creepy and totally scary.



Annie is so smitten she's blind and she's going to mess things up, for all of them,not just Mitchell.



The Sands'part was the light comedy relief to an otherwise extremely tense and intense episode.

But in the end I was left with the doubt that George snr might indeed be really dead..



And I am so excited to see how things are going with McNair in the house next week.. "something's different" And nothing good can happen when he meets HErrick.

I liked the episode, wasn't my favorite though. George's dad was actually pretty loved the father and son interaction. Oh no poor sweet Annie letting her naivete get the best of her, she believes she's actually helping Mitchell by getting involved but it's going to end up in tragedy and heartbreak.

So do you get to be an Old One by being smart in the first place and sorting out an heir? And why only one? Does everyone a vampire recruits become an heir? In which case if Herrick was so peeved why did he recruit Cara if he already had Mitchell? Sorry, too many questions!

Also the 'stop all the clocks' being used - some might remember I did a being human version on the blog a day before Lia love the fact that it went weird.

annie is going to be so desperate when she finds out mitchel did do it. i'm not sure she is going to be able to forgive him.

Agreeing with Haeresis here: Mitchell is one of my favourite characters but I have been getting to think he deserves to get caught. Although I am finally beginning to get the Annie/Mitchell romance. Apart from when he's being really nasty to her - if it was real life I would not think the way he acts is OK. I am quite glad Being Human isn't real life actually. Anyway.



Today wasn't as good as last week's, which was epic, but still bloody brilliant. Loved James Fleet, even if that whole storyline was a little dumb. Is it me or was his Dad being buried by a vicar though? I thought George's parents would be Jewish?



Glad we finally got a Daisy mention! It was irritating me that they were kind of skirting around her involvement, presumably just because they haven't brought Amy Manson back..? I feel like that's being handled a bit oddly. I don't like unevenness damnit!

Oh did anyone else just love it when Annie was at the police station and she was pretending to be a cop? I thought that was absolutely fantastic, i think Lenora may be the best actress I've ever seen.

It's a difficult one, cause Annie's doing the right thing - but it's not going to end in good news!

56. think mitchell has missed opportunity to tell annie..too much at stake now ( pardon the pun) has too many other things to deal with that the last thing he needs to be worrying about is annie at the mo.

60. showing age again..'stop all the clocks' 4 weddings and a funeral flashback!

Oh and the A/M moments were so cute, loved when Mitchell said "I am not ready to leave her" or something like that. Why didn't he just burn the books before the cops came knocking? And did I see some guilt and fear on Nina's face when Annie mentioned Mitchell finding the person who called the police. And I actually held my breath when Herrick came into the bathroom to speak to the lady detective (I forget her name) wow I thought she was a goner.

65 - YES!!!!!! She needs to be made aware of this fact... hello Mr P, please let her know, x

Perhaps not one of my favourite episodes, but it was enjoyable all the same :) On one hand it felt like a filler episode, but at the same time it played a crucial role in the Box Tunnel plot. I really liked Nancy - I thought she was a goner when Herrick appeared. He is one creepy, CREEPY guy!!!!



Loved the George/George Sr dynamic! A definite 'like Father, like Son' example if ever there was one :) And yes, also being a grammer freak, I noticed the apostrophe mistake in the paper! *sheepish grin*



Also, and I feel a bit of a traitor for saying so, but Mitchell's character has been getting a little annoying of late. Having a BH marathon with my friend a few weeks back, we didn't realise how whingy and moany he is. And the fact he can out-right lie to people he loves and trusts, and completely get away with it... grrr! No doubt it will all turn around and bite him on the backside soon...!



Only 2 episodes left, and I know it's all going to end in tears... :'(

38- I thought Aidan looked like Timothy Dalton when I first saw him S1. I had just seen A Lion In Winter and Dalton was probally about the age that Aidan is now. Also, he looks a bit like an 60's American actor who's deceased now named Bradford Dillman. I'm really showing my age now.lol

Again i was holding my breath regarding the book, Mitchell was scary when he requested the book back...why he didn't destroy it earlier i don't know...



The George storyline was kinda sweet i thought, i loved Nina's 'get in' when George sr finally thumped Marcus.

RealMitchell [55] - The detective boss guy is a vampire?!?! Good spot!!! Perhaps this is why he wanted to stop Nancy interviewing people? He's part of the connection Mitchell was talking about; how 'they' have to stick together???

75. must admit always laughed at mitchell blokey whining at the beginning but now he is looking a bit pathetic

Although I think the storyline wasn't the best, it was still very engaging.... I thought vampires couldn't do things like cut their hair short and shave and that? I don't know why I thought this but all the vampires I've seen have never visibly... changed. I don't like short hair Mitchell either, not quite right there...

76, I've noticed Annie clothing too, since I was trying to make myself an "Annie-styled-cardigan-thingie" and I was trying to figure out how it's done.

Because it seems it can take many shapes, can be gathered, become a sort of scarf, be worn with the front open, or on the back.. I love the fact that it's so variable.



BHProd, you should make a special extra video on the costumes. I'd love that!

71/75. Yep, Mitchell has become a bit whiney lately, but I thiunk this is what you get when you have too many secrets and trying to keep is difficult with someone so nosey as Annie around.

Um, I was confused ... I thought George was meant to be Jewish, but his Dad's funeral was led by a vicar ... maybe his mum was Jewish, his dad Christian? Wasn't explained though, and George being Jewish had previously been a plot point of some relevance before ...



Other than that, I was quite happy with the way the story was moving on. If the police had been all over Mitchell from the start and we'd gone shhhooom! into the consequences of Nina's phonecall, it would all move too fast towards the conclusion, and not give Herrick time to realise his role in the story, which I predict will be pivotal. At the moment, we understand that Mitchell is holding back from staking him because he wants Herrick's help to secure true immortality - this will prove to be another of Mitchell's poor decisions, though George's request is the bigger part of his restraint (and that was at least a good decision).



I thought though that Herrick peering through the wavey glass, his 'secret' and Mitchell's threat to Nancy were seriously menacing and horrifying to watch. Great TV.



My thoughts on Mitchell: He is meant to be a 'grey area' character - the writers are almost challenging you to be on his side. We pity him, we want him to confess to Annie, to win her forgiveness, we want him to escape detection so he can live happily ever after with Annie, and then we see the way he terrifies that policewoman and we want her to get him, we watch him lying to her and blaming Daisy, and we feel sickened by him, we see Annie's anguish and watch him shrink from telling her again and we despise him ...



So, he's a 'challenging' character, but that is why I watch BH and that is why I like him so. :)

Never 'posted a comment' before, guess that just shows how much I love the program. It could go on forever! Love the storylines, the characters...everything (ok particularly Mitchell!) oh so gorgeous!

Piratemoose 78 and RealMitchell 55 - that moustache was worse then the Go Compare man's! Normally I miss everything so I was dead chuffed I spotted him! He was really keen to steer her away from Mitchell but he could've been more plausible than just saying 'nah it's not him'.

I think this episode was one to let us get our breath - a calm before the storm one in time for the big finish!

10 - I simply must ask: is the name "Haeresis" chosen because it sounds a bit like "Heresy"..?

38-Don't know why Yeek to Tim Dalton, but if Dalton played James Bond that role could certainly be in AT's future couldn't it. I admit he'd have to clean up a bit, a good shower and then a tux,Oh my!

59, not sure, I think an heir is someone you've told "the secret" to, i.e. what to do to bring you back if you've passed. Mitchell/Herrick must have recruited loads of vampires in their time, if they were all heirs then they would all know how to do it?



Annie is coming off childish again to me, I almost could see them together after last week's episode, but now I'm back to thinking she's too childish and naive for him again.

when you think about it makes sense..the vampire community must have spotted that the BT20 was done by one of their own so they want to make sure it is resolved without exposing themselves

If it's true that the guy at the police station is a vampire then it connects with the theories that the Bristol force are corrupt and know of Herrick. Surely they will find Herrick in HH?

81 - Hi Indil-in-the-future! You get weird bits of material from the likes of JML and QVC etc that you can wear in about 40 different ways. I think Annie's is something similar so might be a good starting point!

61 - yes, after last week's episode I thought she would totally stand by him but now I'm not so sure! They have cleverly switched things around so much this ep from the last.

82. topomostro - as I wrote before, if I'm not mistaken on my religious studies the jewish religious belonging is passed down on the mother side.

Haeresis - I agree with you totally, I'm hoping thats intentional though, I want to like him!

81 - Indil, isn't it strange that although we're in the future we're actually getting to se BH an hour later than everybody else? It is a very unfair paradox.

87 (continued) - And HE's way way way too dark and secretive for someone like her.

Throughout vampire film and literature generally the guys seem to have a whiny moany pity me its not my fault etc thing going on. And the female vampires generally portrayed as ruthlessly practical and extra vicious and enjoying it. Look at the whole genre.

The point being if you want a "real man", who doesn't say please save me for I am useless and only have my puppy dog eyes, then you want a.. cockney builder?

I'm guilty of writing characters like that though. I love my dark murderers with their whiny self hate. They can't stand what they're becoming or have become and they try to convince themselves they've escaped it.
