Viele Jugendlichen wollen den Führerschein machen. In Deutschland darf man mit siebzehn Jahren das begleitete Autofahren beginnen. Die jungen Österreicher und Schweizer müssen bis achtzehn warten. Wenn man ein kleines Motorrad fahren möchte, könnte man schon mit sechzehn beginnen.
Many young people want to learn to drive. (literally: do their driving licence). In Germany you may start accompanied driving at 16 years old. The young Austrians and Swiss have to wait until eighteen. If you would like to drive a small motorbike, you could start at 16.

In Deutschland dürfen Kinder unter sechzehn Jahren keinen Alkohol trinken und sie dürfen erst mit achtzehn Tabakwaren kaufen oder in der Öffentlichkeit rauchen. Wenn sie das machen, könnte die Polizei die Tabakwaren abnehmen.
Bis 2007 durfte man in Deutschland schon mit sechzehn rauchen. In Österreich darf man mit sechzehn rauchen. In der Schweiz unterscheidet sich die Regelung von Kanton zu Kanton.
In Germany children under the age of 16 are not allowed to drink alcohol and they are not allowed to buy tobacco goods or smoke in public until they are 18. If they do so, the police could confiscate their tobacco goods.
Until 2007, you were allowed to smoke at 16 in Germany. In Austria, you are allowed to smoke at 16. In Switzerland, the regulations vary from canton to canton.
