Did you know?
There's a long-running joke about Germans getting to the sun-loungers before anyone else on holiday. And it seems a study by the University of Oxford can reveal how they manage it.
Researchers found that Germans sleep for eight minutes less than their British counterparts and start work on average 30 minutes earlier than workers in the UK.
The study also showed that Germans get up around 15 minutes after their morning alarms go off, whereas British people prefer to use the 'snooze' option of their alarms and stay in bed for approximately 20 minutes after their initial alarm.
