You could be asked to compare and analyse different pieces of texts.

Read these diary entries for example:

Dydd Llun eto – ych a fi! Chwaraeon yn y bore. Dw i ddim yn mwynhau chwaraeon, rygbi, pan mae hi’n bwrw glaw. 'r mwd! Mae’n well gen i wneud chwaraeon yn y ganolfan hamdden achos mae hi’n sych yno!

Therefore:

  • Find the relevant information in both sections.
  • Work out which two points to include in your answer – even if there are more than two possible answers for each topic.
  • Use bullet points – there’s no need to write full sentences.
  • Change any first person sentences into the third person.
  • Be careful, the answers might not follow the same order as the questions.

You may be asked to compare yourself with the characters. How are you similar/different from the characters?

When you answer this type of question, make it clear which character you’re referring to.

Knowing the correct expressions can help you with this type of exercise.
