Timothy

Don't panic! English follows the Gaelic!

Ainm: Timothy
Co às a tha thu?: Altoona, Pennsylvania, United States
Ùidh: Nuair a bha mi ag ionnsachadh na pìoba mòire, bha tòrr facail a bha a' cur dragh orm (Pìobaireachd), mar sin, bha ceistean agam agus thog seo m'ùidh anns a' chànan
Molaidhean: Ionnsaich còmhla ri caraid. Tha e doirbh cànan ionnsachadh às aonais còmhraidh.
Ciamar a tha thu a' cleachdadh Gàidhlig nad bheatha làitheil?: Chan eil mi fileanta fhathast, ach ‘s e deagh chuspair conaltraidh a th' anns a' Ghàidhlig
Abairt Ghàidhlig as fheàrr leam: Ged a chuala iad an ceòl cha do thuig iad am port.

Name: Timothy
Origin: Altoona, Pennsylvania, United States
Inspiration: While learning to play the Great Highland Bagpipe, I found that there were many terms which gave me trouble (Piobaireachd is pronounced Pee-brock ?!). Curiosity got the best of me and I became fascinated with the language.
Tips for Learners: Talk / trick / bribe a friend into learning with you. It's difficult to learn a language without some sort of interaction.
How do I use Gaelic everyday?: I'm not that good at it yet, but it is a great subject for conversation.
My favourite expression?: Ged a chuala iad an ceol cha do thuig iad am port. (Although they heard the music, they didn't understand the tune)
