
As Head of News, Delyth has responsibility for all news and current affairs services on online, mobile, radio and television. She leads a team of journalists based across Wales and in Westminster.
Delyth started her career in local newspapers before joining BBC Wales as a researcher. She went on to work in radio and television news production before specialising in producing political programmes including every election results programme for S4C and BBC Wales between 2001 and 2017. In 2014 Delyth became Editor of BBC Wales Politics and in 2018 she became Editor of BBC Wales Today.
From 2013 to 2014 Delyth worked as a Senior Communications Manager for BBC Wales. For ten years she was a Trustee with Hijnx, a theatre company which promotes opportunities for actors with learning difficulties and/or autism. She is a member of the Wales Advisory Committe of the British Council.
Originally from Carmarthen, Delyth attended Ysgol Gyfun Bro Myrddin. She then studied French and European Politics at Manchester University with a year studying at Rennes University. Delyth lives in Cardiff with her family.
