
Appointed Head of Welsh Language Services at BBC Wales in 2021, Dafydd’s responsibilities include Radio Cymru, Radio Cymru 2 and Cymru Fyw. His career in BBC Wales started in the early ‘90s as a researcher with Radio Cymru, before going on to lead some of the station’s teams as a producer and senior producer. Going under the name of “Daf Du”, he also appeared as a presented on Welsh language radio and TV for almost 3 decades.
Having attended Ysgol Brynrefail, Llanrug, before studying Planetary and Space Physics at Aberystwyth University, Dafydd now lives in Cardiff with his family.
