Summit held over school cut fears

An action group opposing school budget cuts in the Scottish Borders is meeting to discuss its future strategy.

Parents Against Cuts in Education is looking at ways to oppose any reductions in spending.

A number of meetings were held earlier this year over concerns about savings being sought in devolved school management budgets.

Cllr Catriona Bhatia said the council would look at the results of previous reductions before any further action.
