Traffic was heavy in Aberdeen as motorists faced snow
A night of snow has closed schools and affected roads throughout Grampian.

Seventeen schools in Aberdeenshire were either closed or partially closed, and the A939 Cockbridge to Tomintoul road was also closed.

Ice and snow were also affecting other roads throughout the region, and police reported some minor accidents.

Grampian Police reiterated the message for drivers to take extra care as the winter weather experienced by the area continued for a third day.
