Warning after spate of accidents
Aberdeen snow
Motorists have been urged to keep their speeds down
Police have urged drivers in Grampian to take extra care in icy conditions after a spate of accidents.

Roads throughout the region were affected by the cold overnight weather.

A jack-knifed lorry closed the A941 midway between Dufftown and Craigellachie in Moray at about 0930 GMT. The road later re-opened.

Elsewhere, Grampian Police said a woman and child were taken to hospital after a car overturned on an unclassified road near Aberdeen's Mugiemoss Bridge.

A police spokesman said there had been several accidents in the region in "hazardous" driving conditions and asked motorists to act accordingly.

Snow has been falling in Aberdeen through the morning.
